Let me clear what I was saying
The Current prototype of MK1A which is an airforce version will be based on NLCA right? and NLCA itself is based on LCA Trainer ( I hope this link explains this http://tarmak007.blogspot.in/2015/07/cmde-balaji-retd-takes-over-reins-of.html )? so MK1A does not need...
I Do not think we need to fix NLCA landing gear for MK1A prototype( If NLCA example is being used as template for MK1A) since NLCA is based on Trainer version which has normal landing gear, So I would think that the MK1A Prototype is based on trainer where in the second seat is removed. and yes...
Prasun's comment on this situation on aesa, looks like IAF is trying too many
To PARTHIB: If you want only AESA-MMRs of Israeli & Russian origin, then by all means do try convincing the French to install & integrate non-French AESA-MMRs on the Rafale & find out for yourself what the asking...
Well I understand that the development is more or less done and the first Production delivery will start in 2018/19 , but Indian context of MII its slightly late. @PARIKRAMA had earlier posted dates for possible delivery dates if selected for MII...
I tried to calculate on figures based on Google search . So there will always be lots of deviations. To me gripen looks best on paper, but as you said it's too late.
Also let me know there are any reliable numbers for these planes.
Yes at the time of procurement. But single engined fighter will...
It would be quite difficult to get exact figures but we can give some approx e.g.

UAE is paying 200 million per plane according to link and without tot or offset ( I guess),
Also taking flyaway...
As posted by @PARIKRAMA earlier Prasun Sen post
Frankly I do not see both 'F' fitting into IAF. I expect Grippen will be the single engine fighter that will be signed. meanwhile MK will try to milk as much as possible to see how serious is Grippen

From BRF, I read this and makes sense on why there is no second line of MK1 production as HAL is manufacturing more or less everything on its own
Courtesy Shiv from BRF.
No It wont be, Since the Radar, HMDS etc are Israeli origin and would cost a fortune to integrate those. So Tejas will have only Indian and Israeli weapons ( to start with)
Finally Chosen the right day ( 23rd Sept, Ashtami) :-)
Ashtami: The Rudra rule this day, which is good for taking up arms, building of one's defenses, and fortification.
Wow If its costs around 540 Cr for fully loaded ( that's a steal). Even the Su MKI flyaway costing around 420 Cr.
(http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/made-in-india-is-costlier-joint-development-is-mere-purchase/article8199677.ece ) - of-course some part of it is due to HAL productivity...
The 7th point is of great interest. will there be any Make in India deal signed along with off-shelf? I mean what is the total numbers discussed ( 36 +??).
Thanks in Advance...

Hi as an ex- employee of CEA I can explain.
India does not have Uranium reserves and created/installed reactors earlier only for experiment/Nuclear weapons ambition. Ofcourse it never went beyond that since India could not acquire uranium due to sanctions/non-signatory. There was no commercial...
I thought Pakistan is hedging J-10 with F-16. I mean If F-16 are not coming then J-10 would take that role. Let me know if this is a feasibility till 31 is in the horizon. How does Pakistan compare J-10 with F-16. And from when Pakistan is taking deliveries of J-10Bs
