at lower level the security is looked after by officers who are not pilots and specialize in security ... but at the top most level, where all the security planning is taking place, the PAF appoints a fighter...
I am sure that officers from non-GDP branches also get to be commanders of men ... and gradually their circle of command grows bigger ... so, they should also be well suited for higher command jobs ... otherwise the training system of PAF is flawed (it is only training pilots to go to higher...
I agree with you my friend ... a pilot being incharge of security planning of PAF (whether he sits in AHQ or where ever) is a wrong decision ...
as some one has mentioned that his brother is incharge of security at the Base ... such people, who have practically remained responsible for security...
