As an outside observer, don't see any problems with 1200-1300hp engine for VT4 instead of 1500hp. It will be good enough in terms of speed stiil. Judging by my experience of communicating with people in the zone of the special operation in Ukraine, in operations with a high degree of intensity...

Well, as far as I'm aware of, they installed FY-V ERA at least for 99A turret. The main difference is thickness of it's plates, that's why blocks of this are thicker.

What about FY-V for export? I mean, we all saw those presentations photos claims ~250mm penetration ability decrease for DTW-125/BTA-4 for "FY-IVE", but I'm not sure, It would be great protection buff for VT4P.

DU armor is pointless, for now. I mean, Uranium Matrixes is just one of many ways to get better KE/CE protection, you don't need it to make better armor packages)

If there're no weight and space restrictions, it could easilly be upgared up to third generation of special armor by adding additional steel plates about ~30-40mm thickness.

Hello! Few questions about AK-I again) 1) Recently found some video: It looks like this tower looks a bit different It's some kind of a new tower used on AK? I mean, comparing to known AK photos, There're some difference between them, especially if we look at back of the turret...

The main point is keep it balanced, for example, increasing rod lenght for DTC10-125 for ~2,5% and muzzle velocity for ~1,15% comparing to DTW-125 led to increasing of LOS performance for ~ 13%, which is pretty good. The problem is angle performance for shorter rods, especially if we talk about...

But were there any demands to make it wider, for future, at least? Cause few of my Chinese friends said NORINCO working on it "right now" for export VT's) About it's length, It's shorter, than 760mm, because of separate place for shell and charge, the limit for shell part should be ~690mm. And...

I guess, 130mm APFDS rod should be around ~850mm. If it's muzzle velocity is at least the same as DM53 fired from 120\55, 1750 m/s, it should easilly reach 400+mm at 60 degrees at 2 km.

So, it's up to reload speed mainly. BTA-4 is a good round with it's 300/60 degrees at 2 km, may be Chinese will provide some "export" DTC10-125 (If it's muzzle velocity remain 1800 m/s, it should reach ~320-340mm/60 degrees at 2 km), if they wish in future.
