It is just SATCOM. These photos are more clear where you can see the gun FCS still there.

It is indeed official! From my blog: The image depicts the upgraded ship, featuring 16 anti-ship missiles (ATMACA morel likely), a Korkut-D (naval version Gökdeniz) twin 35mm CIWS installed on B-position replacing a Sea Zenith system and a Phalanx Block1B Bas. 2 atop the hangar. The two Sea...

A credible source said that there are ongoing talks about the transfer of two ABs. I doubt though that this will ever happen.

The dark side! :omghaha: I just realized that I forgot to point out one of the visible LIAS/LIS (each ships carries eight such sensors). Therefore, I have updated the graph.

Guess who gave all that information first ;-) PS. They forgot to highlight the SRBOC launchers next to the Sea Sentor systems.

Yes, I know that well. A canister is actually transformed to a 4-cell launcher. I just wanted to point out that not all the Barbaros class frigates (can) carry 64 SAM. The correct is 8-cell VLS for 32 ESSM for the fist subclass, and two 8-cell modules for 64 ESSM for the second subclass.

Note that only Salih Reis subclass has 64-cell VLS. The Barbaros subclass is equipped with a 32-cell VLS and one STIR less.

I could be wrong, it might be just a new cover at the base of a STING to improve stealth characteristics.

I agree on everything you said. Except one thing. I really can't believe that Turkey will have in its fleet 55 years old ships (Gabya class) by 2035 or that it will retire the Barbaros frigates (which were commissioned in the late '90s and have two Mk41 modules) and will keep Gabyas instead...

The Block II of MILGEM Project is the Istanbul class (I-class) as you said already. If you check the graph, I depict an Istanbul class. I did report it as Block II instead of Istanbul class in order to show that a new Block (III) will follow-up (an enlarged derivative of Istanbul which I depict...

I know that MIL Block II is Istanbul class, I mention that in a bunch of articles, two yrs already. In order though to show that a 3rd batch (or a block III) will follow I reported it as Block II. Istanbul is the name of the Block II, as it is an advanced derivative of Adas with high degrees of...
