Well Tahir Rasheed's father Sheikh Muhammad Rasheed had become MNA in 1985 and that election was on NON-PARTY BASIS. So one can't say that they became MNA only with Nawaz Sharif who himself had come from Tehreek Isqtaqlal.... ;;;;;;

Javaid Hashmi is orginally from Jehaniyiah not Multan where he has been consecutively defeated by Shah Mahmood Qureshi. Tahir Rasheed has been elected MPA once and MNA twice from this constituency. And Lets not forget even Nawaz Sharif was defeated in Multan by Yousaf Raza. Future is uncertain...

There is a difference here Doggar went to jail on charges of corruption whereas Tahir Rasheed was jailed in 1994 for disclosing PPP's corruption on the Assembly Floor.
