Navy to get 7 more indigenous stealth frigates

Hope it is the Indian one. The pace at which AESA for embraer was done I think we can definitely build one for ship. Lots is happening in radar front with Astra microwave and data patterns taking up most of the research along with CABS, LRDE, DRDL etc. Thanks to DPP for LRTR, now Indian...

Narendra Modi - the guiding light of India’s future!

It doesn't matter much if India doesn't become a very rich nation but having some one accused of massacre as the one who leads us, no way. We have over a billion population and we can try someone else but not him or any one with such background. I hope whoever comes make Indians more happier...

IN Sea Harriers - How this Old Dog compares with the Subcontinent's Newest

Not upgraded is not right. It was upgraded to Elta 2032 and Derby missiles plus a whole lot of other goodies not mentioned. IN started losing Aircraft on a regular basis(not just after end of service life) and they felt the platform is not reliable. It says 12 but it was just 6 or so when viraat...

    India tests N-capable Agni-I missile

I guess army is using/could use it to train troops with missiles nearing Shelf-life expiry. That could be a better way to test shelf life as well. If it fails shorten shelf life. It would be better than to just destroy those after expiry.

IN Sea Harriers - How this Old Dog compares with the Subcontinent's Newest

I don't think Argentina had any Migs.. They lost one Mirage III to sea harrier. Harriers stand no chance again Mig-29's. From what I know its one of the hardest aircraft to handle. (I know someone who crashed 2 in IN Navy both due to aircraft fault and ejected safely)

Indian MoD to decide fate of 197 chopper tender

Hope they abandon this process of LUH and develop LUH in house. HAL has demonstrated ability to design and put in air LCH in 3 years and LUH could get IOC may be by that time too.. I don't think Cheetahs are in desperate need to be replaced and HAL is still building them. SInce LUH is not gonna...

Users Insist On Radical Makeover For Tejas Mk2

So how much time does it take to develop a complete AESA radar once the T/R modules are ready? VKS says T/R modules are in testing phase and back end probably we can use same 2032 initially (similar to Elta 2052) I guess and then move on to completely indigenous one.
