There is an old airfield at Deesa & they will perhaps build on it. This is right across our Thar coalfields & power plants & distance between Islamkot air strip to deesa is only 210 km & Pakistani Tharparkar border is only 110 km. Why do they need to build a major base so near the border???

I think the composition may include our Chinese Awacs, IL-78 tankers, ELINT aircraft besides F-7PG, Mirages, JF-17s. Last time when Chinese exercised in Pakistan they commented that our pilots are very aggressive, so I believe we are also fine tuning their air combat skills.
