I've been to Tyndall AFB, and while it was raining at about 40 degrees Fahrenheit, the F-22 was getting its engine maintenance, in the cold weather and in the rain, hell there was a bunch of Raptors in "Raptor Country" in the rain taxiing and in open hangers.
Fully combat loaded.Meaning its striking speed.
I remember the news of the F-35's downgraded spec, but what about the operating altitude and at what speed etc, losing half of g's is really nothing. Remember the F-35A reached a G limit of 9 and AoA of 73 degrees.
And give up combat effectiveness...

I know I don't have any source but it is the most probable engine. I don't know why would the skunkworks team would put a fighter aircraft engine in a rapidly developed airframe whose point was to be cheap, it just doesn't make any sense. The dimensions of the TF-34 just doesn't add up either...
Wrong! The most likely engine is called the fj44 engine. They used this engine in the P-175 polecat, the Rq-3 Dark star, and unbuilt tier III or tier II programs, so why not the RQ? The TF-34 just doesn't fit the aircraft's dimensions...

Not sure. The F-35 has a weaker gun, but it has GPS guided bullets. This factor would make the f-35 precise, so it wouldn't go "low n slow" for its target(s). The USAF isn't replacing the whole A-10 fleet I hope. Well if they do replace the thunderbolts the A-10 would feel better about...
