Stealth isn't the only thing that the F-35 has. Situation awareness is one of the most (if not) important thing to have in an aircraft. This will be enough to save the F-35.

So while the J-31s are busy, the F-35 would just be prowling your airspace, fighting your depleted air force. Not a good strategy. Think of another one. Looks like the chances that the missiles hitting an important target (like a SAM) would increase.

Actually these RPVs has one of the most advanced jammers fitted unto 'em. The QF-16 would super-agile against the missiles. We will understand how to hunt highly maneuverable aircraft. Cheers.

The sad part is that we are kinda destroying the USAF's history in these birds. Some of the F-4s were from Vietnam, but the good part is that we will know what countermeasures the enemy can put up and the abilities of our missiles.

@gambit I bet the USAF already knows how to counter the J-20 and the J-31 effectively. The Raptors has facing each other in simulations and in exercises, but those tactics are highly classified and cannot be discussed.
