Only uneducated families in India used to believe in Sati and this was prominent in rural part of India. Modern day India is far ahead of such rituals and no one supports these kind of crap. With literacy rate of India going up (currently around 75%), i am sure rural population will also...

I have lived most of my life in Gujarat and have muslims, parsis and hindu friends here. Amazed to see, how misleading MOD's here can get. My two Muslim colleagues with whom i take lunch regularly are going to Vote for modi this year. You guys don't have any idea of how muslims here feel.
