still you guys use wrong terminology, your turbo shaft engine without it's free running turbine stage would weight less than 150 kg. it's hard to believe a 150 kg engine can produce 85 kn thrust. the best way to say is "with the material and knowledge gained from turbo shaft project"...
well depends on your the rifle mechanism also it worth to note that if you designed a rifle for longer cases then you can arm it with shorter rounds with same caliber. so ashtar possibly can use NATO rounds too.
pal you got it wrong, the new round is 7.62*64 while NATO uses 7.62*51. this is a new round in the world, i was talking about it's parent cartridge which judging by the rimless case of the round it should be based on NATO 7 mm.
there is a similar round out there named .308 norma magnum (7.62*65)...
