There is an article I saw recently but I think from 2010. The FC-1 project came/evolved from the Super-7 project but the FC-1 fighter did not come/evolve from the Super-7.
I hope that is clear enough
Some comparative/reference/benchmarking data: I am sure the altitude and weight comes into play. Also the version of Mig-21 or F-16 to compare with. See the F-16 is the "C" addition.

I remember reading quite a bit on this a few years back and in my mind I have a figure of 15km. Could be totally wrong. A lot depended on the aircraft size, angle, colour and atmospheric conditions.
Here is a little bit I have googled quickly...
Would love to get a lecture on how ITR is calculated. I observed some JF-17 videos in the past and it could do the 1st 90 degrees in aprroximately 3 seconds. Unless I am totally wrong on my assumptions, I expected the ITR to be about 30.
If I remember correctly, the graph below was presented...
Thanks. Makes sense, but ITR of 19 degrees is low. I guess it is not saying "maximum", so this misses out a given altitude, speed and even load regime.

Not my area but looks like there go to the blackbox as well in case of a crash but they are recorded on other easily accessible media
The Link-17/netcentric approach will be important. Under such conditions, with PAF being defensive (on home turf), then if JF-17 will not be far away from its rivals in terms of effectiveness.
The ZDK-03 and I am sure a lot more critical assets are in place to magnify the effectiveness of the...
09-109 had the Mirage/South African probe. This was dropped.
229 has the J-10 type and this is the latest.

I think the JF-17 as who the PAF flies it now is different from some of the options in brochures. So Russians are working on the RD-93MA and the WS13E has been certified. Both on offer for the JF-17/FC-1. At PAS15, PAF said the leadtime to deliver to a customer is 18-24 months. I am sure by this...
Thanks @Bratva . Those C-802 posts help a lot in understanding the possibilities. Physically is looks like mounting the Hatif in the same stations as the C-802 should be possible ... ... while I appreciate the PAF might not do so.
However the question is, if the JF-17 replaces the Mirages, what...
