I like the JF17. it is the reason I frequent here. I like to be optimism but factual. I consider the FC-1, Gripen, FA-50 and LCA to be broadly in the same bracket, with more or less the same offering but at slightly different stages of development.

Thinking back to Zhuhai 2016, this might explain why the Chinese decided to bring the KLJ-7A out on display. I.e. their western competition was going to do the same.
2,500km is a huge improvement from the 2011 Dubai presentation of 1,400km. 78% improvement. Being Block III, I am assuming this might be with 1 or 2 refuellings.

In the photo below, the plane is not plumbed for IFR. The yellow highlighted panel is single piece. In the versions with IFR, the panel is split in two about the red line. See #229 and #2P-33
You can see the IFR light, so yes, it will have IFR plumbing.
And the light is mounted more like the reading light in a plane. It is mounted at the correct angle below the surface.
