Musharraf was not a popular choice in the Army itself, and he was not a decorated soldier as you said. In fact, he was 4th in line for the Army Chief.
The reason why he was easily deposed, even after having the constitutional power to dissolve the Parliament, is because he was extremely...
I wish this reasoning can be given to the orphan children of our martyred soldiers, and those who are waiting in their border posts to be martyred next.
If Taliban are okay with Americans striking targets in kabul, they should be okay with us striking our terrorists in Kunar and Nuristan. The only reason Pakistani leadership will not authorise such a strike, is cowardice.
Two soldiers of Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom on Sunday after terrorists from inside Afghanistan opened fire across the international border on a military post in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Bajaur district, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
The military's media wing said...
Taliban spokesman has denied that a commission was made to probe TTP. He however repeated his group's claim that Afghan territory wont be used against any other country.

Hey,
Hope you're well. I have posted more than thrice in GHQ but didn't get a reply. Can't find the DM option, is it possible to write to you or the Staff in person to share my complaint?

Because of geography (mountains and limited entry points) and its population's historic stand against the Taliban. It's predominantly Tajik and Ahmad Shah Masoud is still revered as a hero. They will fight till death but wont give in to the Taliban.
Abdullah Abdullah right now represents most...

Actually, the airpower is to deny the Taliban any hold of the cities. Remember it was the US bombing which helped the Northern Alliance carve through the Taliban like a knife in 2001. Air power will decide who holds the cities and it will be a major difference.
The United States was sending B-52 bombers, AC-130 gunships and fighter jets into Afghanistan Saturday to turn back dramatic recent advances by the Taliban.
The Boeing B-52 Stratofortress bombers, the mainstay of American strategic airpower since 1952, were flying into Afghanistan from al-Udeid...
