Good to read this news.. Althought, 30mmcfd is not a big addition but every minor addition counts in this current situation of energy crisis in the country.. I wish we could find another natural gas field like Qadirpur or Sui.

Yupp, I didn't say stop working on hydro power projects. Hydel energy is the cheapest source of energy, but its really much time consuming. It takes years even for a small hydro power project completion. There are many factors associated with a hydro power project like the affected people...

But it will take time.. The 8800 MW of electricity will enter into the system at around 2020-2022. At that time, the demand will be much higher. Government should focus more on coal based power plants to fill demand and supply gap first while simultaneously keep replacing the oil and natural gas...
