Why can't we just develop first a proper AMCA siuted as per the requirements of IAF? And at that time we will have lot of options like naval F-35,naval PAK-FA,naval FGFA etc.

RAFALE is better in A2G role than Typhoon. It can carry large PAYLOAD than Typhoon.

But Typhoon doesn't have an operational AESA radar. Also EF partners require funding for further development of the plane.

Seriously IAF officials think that Gripen-NG is best suited for us? Oh come on if Gripen is good then F-16 is the better. Just bcoz Pakistan have them,we shouldn't induct them? I think Tejas is comparable to Gripen.

Only few countries like US,China etc. have satellite busters. No country in the world can develop it easily. India is still developing this technology. One needs to have a huge knowledge and experience in space technologies.

SIR ji,the best 'requirement fulfiller' for IAF is RAFALE i guess and EF. This is beacuse SH can only carry A2G weapon load greater than those two and RAFALE and EF are better in A2A than SH. GO through MRCA thread.

This scenario can be set with SU-30 or MIG-29 too.

But this is mrca competition. SH is better in a2g.We should only consider it if we want to replace Mig-27.

No doubt they are pushing really hard for EF Typhoon.

We do have a lot of experience now developing Tejas which is 4+ gen. aircraft. I agree that for us there are many issues to be solved.But we will also have experience in developing FGFA.So I guess we will induct AMCA in time.
