Really it would have been a hell of a match....Bad luck Wang....
But we will remember some fantastic shots by Wang...
@ Obambam...how old Wang is now? She looked tired unlike the other Wang ....
Do you want to mean Britain is winning all medals? You are very cynic man. Monoj will not win...
Wang was playing fantastically but she is not as fit as Wang no 1. It would have been difficult to retain her form in next sets...even without the injury.... She looked tired even before the injury.
She is last after 2nd round 40/50.....(scored only 17 this round)...Difficult if not impossible to qualify even if she makes 25/25 in the 3rd round. Some girls have to shoot really bad for that... :(
Oye...71 is the Olympic record....dont think the girls in the top will score 24-25 in every round. Last time in 2008, 67 became the cut-off. But , she should not make less than 23 in next two rounds...
And only six go for final I think :D
wow...very tough competition this time. 4 girls already made 25/25 in the first round.....Shagun has to make at least 23 to remain in competition.....
Olympic record in three rounds of qualification is 71/75....World record 74/75
she hits 9 out of 10 till now....hope she will make 23-24....
AIBA has been sleeping during the Sangwan match.....and they are saying about Vikash spitting his gum shield intentionally but it was out because of a heavy punch on his face.....
I agree the American boxers was the winner but rule should be same through out the competition.
There is QF in hockey? I think only two teams from each group will go to semi-final. I bet it will be Australia and Britain from one group and Germany and Netherlands from the other. There is slim possibility of Indo-Pak face off for ranking deciding matches. But India will have to win next two...
Our hockey is not declining ...just others are moving up. Can our teams of 50s and 60s stand any chance against today's Australia on astro turf? ....Noooooo
The day they introduced the astro turf ....our hockey started falling. Those amazing stickwork of old days is not possible on...
I too agree the American was the clear winner. But it is not because of crowd or conspiracy. It is because of the premitive + funny scoring method (look AIBA website for details) which is giveing astonoshing results very often. They should use technology to do justice to the hard work of the...
You just awake after two years sleep. Spain's performance has declined in last couple of years. They have not even qualified in Olympic from Europe, just got invited because of their ranking which surprisingly changes once in a while :D
But, Pakistan is playing far better than India. But, I...
God knows how Atoev makes it in WC. Everytime I see his bout he look very ordinary. But he has his tactics...once taken the lead he hide behind his impregnable guard and run away from the opponent. And he won against the Roumanion becoz of wrong scoring like Sangwan's case. He didnt even throw...
Compensation for Sanwan's defeat :D
Even Vikash looked surprised when his hand was raised....Vikash was totally out of steam in third round....anyway in second round I think Vikash should have more points....but third round belonged to the Americans.
Devendro Has two very good boxers in his category- a Chinese and a Korean. If he progresses he will meet the Chinese only in Semi-final after ensuring a Bronze. Dont forget he reached QF of the World Championship where he lost the Korean (World ranked 2) but almost unsettled him in the first...
I dont think Monoj Kumar can match up against Thomas Staker who is a top class boxer (hope I am wrong) but other three and Mary Kom have the potential to go all the way.....
Vijendra is going to Semi final. His next opponent Abbas Otoev is a crap boxer won due to biased judgeing (like Sangwan case the commentetors got surprised how he managed 3 points in last round).....and above all dont forget Vijendra defeated him in Asian Games final. Remember the score....... 7-0
