I think the evaluation should be redone to take into account the actual capability of the Su-35 and the current capabilities of the Western aircraft.
Better yet do two evaluations, one using current Su-35 (not BM) and current Western aircraft and one using the Su-35BM and the near-mid term...
Hopefully it wont go ahead if India asks for ToT, I am opposed to ToT to un-allied countries like India (that I for one don't trust) and hope for that reason that India goes for the Mig in the MRCA deal. As it least it wont be our or our allies technology being compromised.
From my view India...
But they were using worst case scenario (from the Western PoV) weapon systems and avionics, the systems on the Su-35 aren't as capable as those modelled. Some of the new systems for the Western fighters weren't incorporated into the evaluation either, older versions of the AMRAAM for example.
The French said they would give full ToT on what the Indians would get, including the AESA radar. The SPECTRA suite isn't on the table even for just supply and not ToT as it is forbidden to be exported by the French Government.
Oooh, so there are pics of the J-XX.
Now for my typical reaction to such expensive projects, shiny:D
Whether it is as good as the Raptor remains to be seen though.
That evaluation was using a worst case (from the Western view) Su-35, incorporating levels of tech that have not been incorporated into the actual aircraft.
Stealthiness? It doesn't even have a stealthy design, I don't know enough about the aircraft to respond on the others.
Which analysts?
Anything to back this up?
Cutting edge maybe, (certainly for China and its aerospace history), but I am quite sure that it is not on a level with the...
SinoSoldier,
How is the J-10B better than the Eurofighter/Rafale and on a level with the F35?
With worse avionics, worse airframe, not even as stealthy as the EF2000/Rafale, worse flight performance (most likely), how is it better?
I think the Rafale will win it, full ToT (including AESA tech) and even source codes. It will give the IAF a massive new capability and it is free from American export regulations and restrictions as it is all French. SPECTRA would not be provided though as it is forbidden to be exported.
Hamas could have stayed with the ceasefire and not started restarted the hostilities, you can't expect Israel just to go tit for tat or not attack at all. They have every right to defend themselves and their people.
