The thread title itself is misleading. There's a difference between willing to invest and investing.
I wish the country all the luck. It has seen peaceful times after a long and arduous journey. But a word of advice for Sri Lankan here, please dont exaggerate and mislead.
They ought to. UK and Canada in the West allow practicing Sikhs to serve. Sikhs have served with distinction during WWI and II in all theaters of war. I dont think a turban and beard would be a problem.
Too low for controlling stone-throwers. I guess rubber-bullets will be better.
But yeah, TASERs will definitely come in handy for city cops to tackle aggressive criminals.
The idea looks interesting. Though I assume that India would be connected to this trans-continental line by Pakistan. And given the mistrust, the whole might stop at that.
On a related note, Indian railways' consultancy arm RITES is a major name in rail transport projects in developing...
What is the range of a taser? in J&K protestors or stone-throwers are as they say, a stone throw away from police. Can a Taser strike a person at that distance?
It stupid for any Indian to really malign China for playing on costs. They indeed provide the best quality at a given cost. Similar, to what Indian outsourcing companies do for IT services.
You evidently do not understand the difference between nuclear accidents and proliferation.
India has had nuclear accidents, that's what leakages can be classified as. But apart from our initial attempt at making weapons grade uranium from a reactor for energy purposes, India hasnt supported...

If India can balance its changing (positively) relationship with US with that of its age-old friend Russia, there's no saying why it cant do the same vis-a-vis the SCO.
I think an organization like SCO is very relevant at the point. Economically and politically it can form a major power block. Though all countries are at varying degrees of development, they control access to major resources.
Its a BS conspiracy theory. If you read his arguments they can all be debunked pretty easily. One cant say Taj Mahal was a temple just basd on architecture. The truth is that many Mughal buildings display characterstics of Indian style as well. And Indian style was usually visible in temples and...
Totally agree with the above. We have to acknowledge that Azadi is a demand however unfeasible it may be. GoI should be willing to discuss it at least if that soothes tempers and prepares the ground for engagement with Kashmiris.
I think 'made' in common parlance still means 'manufactured'. As such it will definitely carry a Made in India label. Thats true for Suzuki, GM and Hyundai cars as well.
It may be called conceptualized in China. Credit should go wherever deserved. But again, the article mentioned that Huawei...
