UAV Nishant flies with Indian "Wankel" engine A week ago, the indigenous Nishant unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flew for the first time with an Indian engine ("Wankel" comes dangerously close to something else, but what the hell). Here's a statement from DRDO today: A bright and sunny...

http://alpha.drdo.res.in/sites/default/files/images/content/DSC05540.4x6.jpg The Rs. 2,000-crore Kaveri engine may have eluded our own light fighter plane, the LCA. Now there is the smaller Wankel engine, though, to give some cheer for another reason. The 55-hp Wankel engine, developed by...

    AMCA configuration in final stages

@sancho . I agree with your point on N-LCA but my argument is not based on capability of N-LCA but its need. Since N-LCA if ever need to be operated from an aircraft carrier, it has to be from the deck of IAC1 and IAC2. Since IAC2 will be inducted after 2025, probably 2027-2028 timeframe, ideal...

Development of AESA has been divided into eight parts of which two are ready.I am quite hopeful that it will get completed...
