It is also imperative to note that
EVs were among the earliest automobiles, and before the preeminence of light, powerful internal combustion engines, electric automobiles held many vehicle land speed and distance records in the early 1900s. They were produced by Baker Electric, Columbia...
I will get back to you with specifics as I myself am unaware of the manufacturing process but still it's a one time process which will contribute for almost 20-25 years.
There is a world consensus on greenhouse gases as the main source of pollution and climate change and non of the renewable energy sources have this as byproduct.
The plant in the story by latimes is solar thermal and not PV solar, PV panels have anti reflective quoting to absorb as much sunlight as possible to increase the panel efficiency. So the claims of heat concentration and altering humidity are absolutely rubbish.
At least read your references...
You are right in the current scenarios but you are missing the point that renewable is the future and cost effective energy supply will govern the economic dynamics of the future world.
Could you please furnish your arguments with some references because as far as my knowledge goes, Solar P.V...
It's really hard to outpace Chinese economies of scales but import duties can encourage local investors. The cost is gradually decreasing and in the long run when countries will start depending on solar power local manufacturing will make a difference. There will be an endless buying cycle and...
Not too high if most of the financing comes through the bank. When banks are involved they want return on their investment e.g. phase-I of Quaid-e-Azam solar plant has a capacity of 100 MW and it is part financed by Punjab Govt. and rest by the banks. The equity to debt ratio in this case is 2:8...
Most of the posters are making fun of the article without even reading it. The insight and endorsement coming form a renowned physicist bears more credibility than an ordinary customer.
Yes, you are right but I was referring to reluctance of local investors. Pakistan typically spends a lot of foreign reserve to fulfill it's need for electrical equipment. If that money is wisely managed we could turn the tables and in turn would be exporting these things. Taping into renewable...
On the contrary Pakistan has policies like Distributed generation license and local manufacturing preference in govt. projects but the biggest hurdle in achieving this goal is our 'buy china' mindset and reluctance to produce in house.
It's right time for investors to start investing into local manufacturing of PV solar systems. Due to it's close proximity to CPEC, local industry can not only fulfill local demand but also can earn valuable foreign exchange through exports.
Hello everyone, I'm a new member here representing my organization. I'm electrical engineer by profession and would like to discuss and create awareness and busting myths revolving around renewable energy sources.
