Most members on this forum are bad representatives of their respective countrymen/women, they are nationalistic internet warriors. There needs to be a lingua franca in every country, no doubt about that. That goes for Spain, Canada, Turkey, Iran, you name it. That being said, I think schools should offer the possibility to learn additional languages that are relevent to the population. For example, in Scandinavian countries...
