Afghanistan: what will happen when the troops – and their dollars – depart?

Are you being sarcastic or are you just that naive? Pakistan created the Taliban for the express purpose of delivering Afghanistan to you. Why would Pakistan suddenly turn against them?

Afghanistan: what will happen when the troops – and their dollars – depart?

May I ask you think that? What do you think Pakistan brings to the table?

Afghanistan: what will happen when the troops – and their dollars – depart?

I don't think there will be complete troop withdrawal for a long time. The Iraq experience has taught the world what happens if you leave before there is complete stability.

Afghanistan: what will happen when the troops – and their dollars – depart?

I'm not sure China will invest much if the security situation doesn't stablize. Can't blame them. No point in getting your people killed.

Chinese think tank suggests division of India

Abotani, Jamahir and mujahidind have also found a reason to stay. It's called the Indian army. :D All joking aside, other than the Soviet Union, does anybody see a common thread in all the countries that are mentioned? Or is it just me?

    Analysis: Managing the Baloch insurgency

Development is the key. Make people fat and happy, they'll be worrying about their next big purchase or next vacation rather than their own country. Money may not be able to buy happiness but it can definitely buy conformance :D

    Proxy War in South Asia.

You don't have the updated version. It's in there. Right between the chapters on "Terrorism: Distinguishing between the good and the bad" and "Proper procedures in ethnic cleansing"

China-India relation over Dam, SAARC and HSR

Then I guess I'd ask what was the point of posting it on an international forum if it cannot be understood by majority of the members?

Why Do Americans Hate Beheadings But Love Drone Killings?

I would very much like to see this statement by the drone operators regarding targeting males over 15. I can't imagine that there are only 168 deaths if this was the matter of policy.

Why Do Americans Hate Beheadings But Love Drone Killings?

First, I would ask which incident that was, just out of curiosity. However, my position wouldn't change. If the U.S. had attacked the seminary with the intent of killing these boys, then there is no defense. However, with a beheading there is no question of who the target is and what the Intent...

Why Do Americans Hate Beheadings But Love Drone Killings?

Civilian caught in the crossfire and killed can be called unfortunate. A recorded beheading is not "unfortunate". It's deliberate act of cruelty. Very few people in the world would see an equivalence in the two.
