    It's not a lack of tradional dresses, there are quite a few in Iran that I know of. It is not very convenient for everyday business/work/school, I think that's all. Especielly for women, since it would mean them wearing a dress etc... for some men it would even mean wearing a wool hat

    if you want to be 100% correct, you would have to compare non-IR Iran in 2013 with IR Iran in 2013. What you are doing now is to compare Iran in 1975 with IR Iran in 2013, which of course is not valid. even doing that shows that 1975 was not bad at all, IMO
