PAF inaugurates new operational air base at Bholari near Karachi

But it is MR squadron, no longer OCU squadron?

Pakistan To Participate In Turkey’s TFX Next-Gen Fighter Aircraft Program

Both can work. The Hürkus is in the same class as the PC-9 I think? The USAF have replaced their T-37 with the T-6 (PC-9) too. The Swiss, like I commented in another topic, use only PC-7 and PC-21 before the F/A-18 for example (although the PC-21 is in a league of its own). So it will require...

AIR CHIEF INAUGURATES SHOOTER SQUADRON AT PAF BASE M. M. ALAM

Most of those LIFT aircraft are overpowered, quite heavy duty platforms and cost a lot of money per flight hour. Also, you only need a relatively small number making a new type for that role not cost effective. That only makes sense if you are a very big air force or use the same platform as an...

    Potential turbo-prop for PAF - Calidus B-250

Currently, most countries that are looking for a sturdy CAS/COIN aircraft end up buying the EMB-314 Super Tucano. Mostly to replace their A-37, OV-10 and such aircraft. The Super Tucano was used to great effect in Colombia, it won the contest against US T-6C several times (despite court cases...

5203, I would say 5th user, block II, third in batch. So probably the 3rd for Myanmar on a testflight.

    Pakistan Naval Aviation - Updated

The one in Germany was seen outside the 5th, so work is certainly progressing. The German 'Flugzeugforum' had this picture, courtesy of mr.Il76. It did an engine run. Lots of hobs and knobs, bells and whistles. So yes, it is modified with some extra surveillance gear :-)

Pakistani Super Mushshak in Qatar Air force colors

    1) Qatar is buying 36 Rafales and 24 Typhoons, so no need for JF-17 for now 2) The first Super Mushshaks were delivered in July. They are operated by the Al Zaeem Air Academy of QEAF. Four of them participated in the National day parade on 18 December 2017...

    Pakistan Naval Aviation - Updated

Last weekend, 5 Sea Kings were moved by road to Folkestone harbour in the UK, destination Belgium. From there they are/were shipped to Pakistan. So I would expect an inception ceremony later this month, maybe early next year. Three have large white codes, as follows: (4517) 17 (former Sea King...

Where are the retired aircrafts of PAF?

Found a shot of the F-6 outside the Air War College. It turns out to be 1606, formerly stored in the grounds of PAF museum.

JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 7]

15-207 could not be the one that crashed in 2016, it was seen during the rehearsals for the Pakistan Day parade March 2017. See the photographs on the previous page... Furthermore, the video discussed earlier shows 17-234, but see this shot of 16-235...

Count Down begins for Arrival of the 100th JF17 Thunder

Maybe we should make some designs for paint scheme of the 100th aircraft, maybe PAF can grant the winner a back seat ride in the JF-17B to photograph it air-to-air :yahoo:

Pakistan Army Aviation Corps - Updated

Regarding the 14 Hueys and 3 Cessna 208, I believe these are nominally property of the US Department of State. So I can imagine that they can withdraw them. That would be a silly thing to do though, as the Americans perceive that it is needed to step up efforts in the border area with...

Russia completed the delivery of four Mi-35 combat helicopters to Pakistan

This one was seen on a pre-delivery tesflight in August in Russia. It is not for Mali; they have a slightly different scheme. So who knows.... I would figure that dark green is more logical (like the AH-1F / AH-1Z).

Count Down begins for Arrival of the 100th JF17 Thunder

By September, 84 were delivered afaik (17-234 being the latest, it can be seen in the youtube video posted in this thread earlier). So, the 100th will be finished this time 2018, although I presume that was paid for with 2017 budget and may therefore be delivered earlier in 2018.

Where are the retired aircrafts of PAF?

These two, a Sabre and an F-6 are now preserved in front of the PAF Air War College at Faisal. They were installed there this year I think. I presume the Sabre came from the other side of the road (from PAF Faisal) and the F-6 was the one parked nearby (100 metres to the west) before? Anyone...
