General Raheel Sharif As Prime Minister

Because when come into power they cannot let it go. Remember how they come few years to "save" Pakistan and call election soon? Raheel isn't that sort of person. So sorry to burst your bubble. He likely won't even seek second term. Oh and don't worry, next COAS will also be good and there...

Zero loadshedding for industrial sector till December

Govt doesn't utilize some of the plants because it costs far more than what consumers pay. Perhaps they can charge extra over some capacity given to industries to make up for the cost of expensive plants. For example over 400 units (again an example) charge 100% more. Then industries can...

King Nawaz leaves for London to obseve Eid

The point is about fake pic, not who is more important. If the PM of Canada was important why such a small gathering?

PAF: Why a few "advance and expensive" aircrafts make sense

Pakistan wants peace actually. It'll help Pakistan far more. India is powerful, can sustain war for longer, many nations like India and side with India. So it's sucide for Pakistan to start war because already it lacks friends and economy, it'll just face further sanctions.

Pakistan to lease Three Boeing 777 from Kenya Airways

The good thing is a lot of the planes are being brought back into service. Plus oil has hit really low price so PIA can continue to use old planes and also operate some routes that were not profitable before and once they get 3 777-3 and 2 777-2 jets, perhaps they can expand more east and west...

PAF: Why a few "advance and expensive" aircrafts make sense

I think PAF is getting food deals as Russia needs money and PAF needs plane to start protecting gawadar. I mean it'd take 5-10 years to get full fleet, so they've to plan now. Russia will get a needed deposit. But I hope PAF thinks about future too. I think Russia is only su-35 operator...

PAF: Why a few "advance and expensive" aircrafts make sense

Yes but it's capabilities are also very good. Advance jets come at a price. F22 are expensive that even USA doesn't wanna buy anymore. But it still needs it. If it has a fight with Russia or China, these jets will go first and escort lesser advance jets like f15s, 16s and so forth.

    Investing in gawadar

anyone figured out about purchasing property in gawadar? Brought it up to family members but they think property mafia will take over. I understand bahria town or DHA is good choice, but I also see Gawadar property prices rising even more.

Taliban attacks have cost Pakistan $5b in lost investment

Yet Pakistan still doesn't learn. Perhaps if the leadership earlier had learned this in the 90s in Afghanistan. These people eat the hand they would be fed with. $70b strategic asset vs $70b in jets, submarines, even carriers we could've produced. India must be happy. Canada is getting f35s...

PTI founding members say Khan has led party astray

    4) as much as PTI needs to be cleansed, it cannot win then. It needs lotas. The only good thing PTI is the leader is good. Once in power he can start going after ashtrays. The reason I lost faith was because Imran started being controlled by the ashtrays during the dharna

PMLN knows no shame, another date to end loadshedding !

It will be heavily reduced in 2018 before election as they use loans/reserves to pay off circular debt, run expensive plants and so forth. Something PPP did and cost over 5$ b in reserves damages and ruining rupee. Pakistan has the capacity even today to finish load shedding at times during...

PAF: Why a few "advance and expensive" aircrafts make sense

Is it maneuverability that PAF likes since they've been very good at dog fights? But aren't we well past dog fights since today is more about just having most range for radar, missle lock beyond visual etc?

PAF: Why a few "advance and expensive" aircrafts make sense

Wouldn't it be better to go f15 as we can get trained with it and one day buy used from Middle East? Plus were already familiar with Boeing/US. or j20 isn't bad choice too

PAF: Why a few "advance and expensive" aircrafts make sense

It makes sense to me but seeing many experts here, perhaps they can shed better light. If we opt for say F15 stealth eagles, SU-35 and whatnot in few numbers, say 30, it can provide great cover for our JF17s in large numbers. For example, the expensive jets with better radar range, able to see...
