One reason for the case dragging out this long is the fact that supreme court and Hanif Abbasi's lawyer have been constantly coming up with new demands. It takes time to retrieve these documents.
For sure. Laziness screwed them on this. They have been very shrewd in not letting Nawaz Sharif be owner/beneficiary in any other asset or property. They were forced to do it here because of UAE's laws.
Many parliamentarians have a similar iqama of Dubai including Sharjeel Memon. Nawaz Sharif was not in parliament until 2013. They obviously had this iqama so he could come and go whenever he wanted.
You need concrete arguments and prior judgements to justify disqualifying Imran Khan. There has been no law broken with regards to Imran's offshore company. The SC is just doing this to look balanced in the eyes of the public so they can say they are unbiased.
Dawn news just posted transcripts of Nawaz Sharif's interview. Can't post links yet.
Following are the questions asked by the JIT and the prime minister’s answers.
Q: In your speeches you had mentioned that all record relating to Azizia and Gulf Steel was available but later your counsel...

WOW! From page 192 onward they recommend opening Nawaz Sharif's previous cases and finishing investigation on current ones..Must read.
They also refer to annexures, that means they have evidence regarding those cases?? This is huge! Why didn't anyone cover this in the media..?
What is the possibility of SC appointing special prosecutors for cases against Sharifs when they send these cases to lower courts for trial?
There will be vigorous scrutiny of lower judiciary and prosecution this time around by the media and public. No more referee judges will be allowed to...
Basically most of the money laundering we're seeing right now is because the money had to come back to Pakistan in some form or another.
How many billions were taken as kickbacks for projects in foreign banks that have left no trail whatsoever?
Yes, the agreement did not allow it. So it seems like Hill Metal Steel was acting as a money laundering front as well. The real money had to be coming from elsewhere.
Page 152 of JIT report: They screwed Sharifs with their own 'audited' report of Hill Metal Steel, with how 88% of profits was being sent to Nawaz Sharif through 'gifts' and remaining 12% used to maintain the mill. Bloody genius! :haha:
Reading through more and more of the report, it's impossible that Sharif lawyers can refute all these points with lies that don't contradict each other by Monday.
