@ Jana At 600 BC there were lots of cities in India like Ptaliputra(Patana),Ujjain , Kashi(Varanasi) etc and 16 Mahajanpads. Rig Ved mentioned the name of Kashi once and Rig Veda is atlest written before 1000 bc (early Vedic period)

The problme is that they are not continiously inhabitated but Varanasi.

Who tells that we dont have speed in Mbps .. 3g goes upto 3.1 Mbps and Wimax upto 8 on wireless medium For wireline(DSL,ADSL etc) we have upto 16 Mbps bandwithd. If you require more you may opt for fastethernet from ISP
