'I am an Indian Muslim, not a Pakistani' - BBC News

Yeah, they are of course, rather close groups, but as you can see most Punjabi Muslims are more genetically similar to Punjabi Sikhs/Hindus. Most of Pakistan, besides Muhajirs, and isolated groups like Hazaras etc are pretty genetically close knit.

True, the map doesn't really answer your question. I got confused by you and the other guy. I sent you a spreadsheet on PM.

'I am an Indian Muslim, not a Pakistani' - BBC News

Look through this spreadsheet to compare Punjabi and other South Asians groups. Anyway, hope this map also helps. Edit: The Spreadsheet isn't showing up, but hopefully the map helps.

'I am an Indian Muslim, not a Pakistani' - BBC News

This is true, but as Bangladesh is pretty homogeneous, i.e. 98% Bengali ethnically, all parties have to abide by some sort of nationalistic feeling to get elected. I hope the two party system dies out in Bangladesh, and there are more parties with significant following contesting elections...

'I am an Indian Muslim, not a Pakistani' - BBC News

My thoughts as well. Hopefully, Bangladesh doesn't follow through and become non-inclusive for religious/ethnic minorities. South Asia in general has such a vibrant culture and history. It's very sad to see these nations giving birth to hateful politics and politicians.

Bangladesh should be at the centre of India’s diplomacy

'I am an Indian Muslim, not a Pakistani' - BBC News

Pakistanis have ASI in low quantities, that pull them southwards down the cline. I've never mentioned Balochis actually who are closer to other Balochis in Pakistan (obviously). But, majority of Persians live in the Northwest of Iran, and the bordering area between Pakistan and Iran are sparsely...

'I am an Indian Muslim, not a Pakistani' - BBC News

I've never even said that. I've said that Pashtuns are closer to other Pashtuns (whether from Afg/Pak), than they are to Punjabis who are closer to Punjabis (East/West), but they are still both closer to each other genetically than to Iranians (who the Pashtun has linguistic affinities with), or...

'I am an Indian Muslim, not a Pakistani' - BBC News

Phenotype =/= Genotype. Dude, do you have any idea about genetics? If not, there's no point arguing with you. My people, the Bengalis for e.g. are genetically closer to Tamils, than to a Punjabi even though Punjabi and bengali are related languages. Anyway, it seems you have no background in...

'I am an Indian Muslim, not a Pakistani' - BBC News

Alright dude, whatever you say, even your "Quaid e Azam" was a Gujarati, and your first prime minister was from Haryana. Pakistan was the Muslim version of India, for Indian Muslims originally. Btw, I'm not saying that the loyalty of a Pakhtun belongs to Afghanistan or anything similar. But...
