    5% people hold 64% of Pakistan’s farmland

At the dawn of Pakistani independence, the political elite decreed that there be 'land to reform' to ensure justice and national prosperity. Yessirreebob! chorused the feudals. Fast forward 6 decades, and when the feudals who were still controlling significant areas of Pakistani life were...

    Wildlife of Pakistan

That's just very sad- as it is the wildlife is vanishing and now people are hunting them.

Rape victims suffer in silence after Hindu - Muslim riots in India

Asif Ali Zardari is not the Indian President to be.

Rape victims suffer in silence after Hindu - Muslim riots in India

Here, in a thread about rape, ironically is represented perfectly in two quotes the mentality of a hardcore rapist.

Rape victims suffer in silence after Hindu - Muslim riots in India

Women are the worst sufferers of violence and abuse. If these stories above are true, I hope they hang the culprits.

    General Kayani Decides to retire.

I do know and respect him greatly for that. An institution. However, that does not mean that I have to agree with everything he says, or not voice my disagreement or not stand up to vigorously debate when I think it right. Peace.

    General Kayani Decides to retire.

Sarcasm is no excuse for knowledge or perspective. Thank you.

    General Kayani Decides to retire.

If he was the 100 foot tall Ranger (as I thought then) , your uncle scared the living daylights out of me at the age of 6 to cultivate anyone! No, I do not know even 10 % of the internal dynamics of Pakistan compared to Pakistanis. And no my evaluation is not to be considered final. But...

    General Kayani Decides to retire.

The same logic that refuses to recognize a dispassionate evaluation of military affairs. I do. Except it's spelt and pronounced "thanda" where I come from. Not that that's important.

    General Kayani Decides to retire.

Muradk, we have not interacted, and I am not your friend (not really) but let me answer that. As background, my father was an IA general, so I have some (old) second hand knowledge of and (first hand) respect for the Indian AND Pakistani Army. One of my oldest memories as a 5/6 year old is...

LOC Violation: Indian Firing in Battal Sector leaves 2 injured

Thanks for your answer. Simple question - But how do you know that the tank (and the differentiation) was not created by Muslims? After all, even today in rural Pakistan, Christians are not allowed to drink water from the same well as 'purer' Muslim Pakistanis. Or am I wrong? Look I do not...

LOC Violation: Indian Firing in Battal Sector leaves 2 injured

Not sure where you're going with this when a non -Muslim man, particularly a Hindu, making love to a Muslim woman is not only banned in the very DNA of your religion, it is deeply abhorrent at an unsurpassed level to even the educated ones among you.

Malala Yousafzai among favourites to win Nobel Prize this year

You have got to be kidding me. I know she's a brave young lady, but the prize ideally should go to someone who has worked in the field for a period of time. This would just be gimmickry. But hey, they gave it to Obama a few years ago and that was as gimmicky as it gets.

    Anurudhati Roy About Modi

So Arundhati Roy is a valorous individual. Fine, got no problem with that. Just want to point that that those who support that view cannot deny that so are Asma Jahangir and Marvi Sirmed - great, corageous and upright ladies.

    RIP General Giap

Wow I did not realize he had lived to such a ripe old age. This man was one of the most successful generals of the 20th century and, as OP puts it, a legend. A legend in the true sense of the word, not the way it's commonly used these days.

Bhagat Singh’s birthday marked at Shadman Chowk -Lahore

Utter nonsense. He was the classic revolutionary and developing thinker, a calibre and type that comes very rarely. Interesting. You are a credit to Islam.

Zaid Hamid taking on Indian Major General

One, I seriously think Zaid Hamid is a little unbalanced. If not a lot unbalanced. Two, until someone can bring conclusive proof that Indira Gandhi actually said the '1000 year Muslim rule' thing, Hamid is also a liar. Three, Lol, at OP's claim that Hamid is 'taking on an Indian Major...

Indian Political Corner | General Election 2014, All Updates & Discussions.

I think we should fight extremism with passion, and give no quarter. But if you want to fight the enemy by becoming a replica, you've lost the battle. Allow more Hindu fundamentalism and - politics being what it is- the respected and erudite Hindu scholars will not become our national leaders...
