Pakistan is also coming up fast in the sectors u hv mentioned. These sectors are directly related to the population and income level. The sectors i mentioned are technology specific. @ghameed
Great post.
@Pluralist Its very important for the press to keep the gov under pressure to prevent it from a sellout of the country's interests. That is how it works. Let it do its job.
Culdnt agree more with u, sir. But one can understand given the fact that pakistan has had a free media since a decade and a half only. It will take time.
Love ur posts. They r a treat. U r bang on here. Pak is lucky to have the yellow folks on its side.
So u r suggesting that the voice of the press be muzzled. Is pakistan a banana republic or what? Please reign in ur undemocratic tendencies. If u dont agree with them, then u r free to put forward ur alternative veiwpoint and let the public decide. Other option is to be patient and let the...
An alternative veiw is not all that bad in a democracy. It prohibits the rulers to sell the interests of the for their own gains. As for as cpec is concerned, it is already a success. No stopping now. If pakistan keeps growing at over 6% for a couple of years more, the remaining naysayers will...
As the things are shaping up russia, turkey and iran will join the project and make an economic union. This union may ultimately be transformed into a millitary alliance, and work as a counterweight to Nato.
Back in the early nineties when india started on the grow path, it faced the same problems as pakistan is facing today, rising fiscal and current account deficits. There were alarm bells ringing allover, including from IMF. It had 2 options:- either growth or containing the deficits. It chose...
India joining cpec would usher in a new era of development in asia. That would be a real game changer. If only these two countries resolved their disputes! If only...
o sharam kar yar. It was said in jest. Can u imagine children playing on top of a 60 storey building. It is too dizying a thought. I will never trade my 22000 sq ft premises including a comfortable bunglow with such kind of living, even if it lies in a small sized city only.
@Zarvan
It is not abt PMLN, rather it relates to the mindset of the people, which is corupt to the core. Even if they get the most able man to lead them, they will drag him to their level. Private sector is the best remedy even if expensive. In the long run it has a positive effect on the gov...
Best option is to order it from across the fence if that is possible. There are many ingrediants which go in its making which r not availible here. @Ocean
The hospitals u mentioned are all in the govt sector, ineficient. What i m talking abt is the private sector.
I do agree wd u that the health care needs to be taken to the grassroot levels. But that can only happen after a decade of non stop growth of over 6%. No less. @Thanatos
