Naya Pakistan Promises - Final Year Report (Dawn)

Of course I agree that Dawn has been a leading voice against the IK government, and does not even pretend to be fair and balanced. But I found this story they published to be enlightening. I am not saying that Dawn is a good paper - just that this particular story is good.

Naya Pakistan Promises - Final Year Report (Dawn)

And to think that he was able to accomplish all this with a minority govt, with threats from allies, a pandemic, global inflation, historically high oil prices, severe restrictions from IMF, a hostile judiciary, Afghanistan, threats from TLP, and many other challenges.

Naya Pakistan Promises - Final Year Report (Dawn)

Naya Pakistan Promises - Final Year Report This was published in Dawn today. Incredible accomplishments! Makes me sad that most of this will come to a grinding halt under SS. This is for anyone who says, "Imran Khan talks big, but hasn't done anything", or something ridiculous like, "Show me...

Imran Khan's message to Lahore - 21st April Jalsa

He addressed "those who made a mistake" and urged them to hold elections asap. Can't get any more direct than that.

Imran Khan's message to Lahore - 21st April Jalsa

I don't know what you mean by it wasn't jam packed. This must be the biggest political rally in the country's history.

Imran Khan's message to Lahore - 21st April Jalsa

Lahore looks bigger than Karachi, and Karachi was bigger than Peshawar. It has gotten progressively bigger. There is definitely momentum. Now we have to see how IK maintains this momentum, and what will be his next moves.

Imran Khan's message to Lahore - 21st April Jalsa

Had ho gayi! In ko sharam bhi nahi aati. They act like mafia dons, and make no effort to hide it. And yet they have so many supporters. Are they all blind?

Video: Journalist dissects IK relationship with Karachi.

I don't know why people keep saying that IK did not do enough for Karachi. IK did not have control of the provincial or municipal governments. His hands were tied. In fact, I would say Karachi got more than its share from the federal government, because the Sindh government refused to lift a...

Original words of Donald Lu in Cipher

You really are struggling to make this not sound like a threat. Reminds me of the movie trope, where one guy threatens another. The other guy asks, "Is that a threat?". The first guy replies menacingly, "I'm just stating a fact". You need to get out of Hollywood la la land.

N league threatens Public for raising slogans against them

N league threatens Public for raising slogans against them

So let me get this straight, if your kid did something good, you won't acknowledge or encourage him, just because he did something wrong later? The SC has, on occasion, made some right decisions. Their recent actions, however, were wrong and partisan.

N league threatens Public for raising slogans against them

I would imagine the self appointed guardians of Islam in this country like TLP and TTP must have raised hell after this statement by Rana Sanaullah. No? Nothing? Maybe they just haven't heard what he said.

PTI HAS ANNOUNCED RESIGNATIONS FROM NATIONAL ASSEMBLY!

I'm beginning to believe the old adage that you can't change the system from within. Imran tried to play the game by the rules, but the game is rigged. Can he really win from within the system when he's up against not just the opposition, but also the umpire, and the rules are designed to favour...

Voting for the new PM to be conducted today

That Shahbaz Sharif is a good administrator is a myth. Good administrators are able to balance development work across the province. They don't spend billions on a metro train that they can't afford. They don't bribe and threaten the bureaucracy to get their compliance. And they certainly do not...

Global protests against regime change in Pakistan

People are comparing this to the Arab Spring. They couldn't be more wrong. One of the main problems with the Arab Spring is that the movement had no leadership, no face to rally around. That is clearly not the problem here. Another thing is that the masses in the Arab Spring movements wanted...

Pakistan’s political change ‘won’t affect solid friendship with China’

Well, what else would you expect? Countries never openly/overtly interfere in the internal affairs of other countries. That's just how international relations work. We work with whoever is in power in other countries. And they work with whoever is in power in our country. Nothing to see here

US ousts Imran Khan but his revolutionary narrative endures - Article

    1. You're right, CPEC is not going anywhere. But project priorities may change based on the new government's policies. Also, if the economy falters, or if funds have to be redirected (to reward/bribe certain people), funding from the Pakistani side may be affected. 2. China will not panic. But...
