First ever pics of Arihant, Arighat and Chakra parked close to each other!

@Nilgiri Why are you feeding trolls? If you've any point, kindly categorically answer based on facts. Please do not ruin my thread with this trolls. There are umpteen number of threads gone waste to trolls. As for tamil I really like the language and culture. Either this guy doesn't know or he's...

First ever pics of Arihant, Arighat and Chakra parked close to each other!

It doesn't make sense to fit just one K15 in the silo when the dia of the silo is 2.3m. K15 is just. 7 m in dia and hence would appear much smaller than the dia of the silo. A 1.4m dia missile would not appear that small in a 2.3m dia tube. I'm sure it is 1.4m dia K4 and is perhaps consistent...

First ever pics of Arihant, Arighat and Chakra parked close to each other!

Hi Shaheen Missile! Yes I can read and write urdu. Coming back to the topic, yes, I pointed it out in my original post that the hatch of one of the silos is indeed open. It seems to have one missile mounted inside the cannister, possibly hinting at the fact that K4 is in fact onboard Arihant...

First ever pics of Arihant, Arighat and Chakra parked close to each other!

Hi @S.Y.A Lets hope it never turns nuclear! I am certainly not in favour of any nuclear showdown however healthy competition is very good. Within a few years, IN will have at least 4 SSBNs and 1 SSN. Now the next logical step would be to develop a fleet of SSNs to guard the SSBNs on patrol- like...

First ever pics of Arihant, Arighat and Chakra parked close to each other!

These are perhaps the first ever pics available in public domain via Google Earth, wherein one can see the Arihant parked besides Chakra. As one can see, Arihant is slightly longer than the Chakra, perhaps as much as 10m longer. However the beam seems smaller. In the pics one can easily identify...

Does India have MIRV (missiles)? If they are in making, then what is the status?

Hi shaheen! Prahaar and Pralay are nuclear capable. Also the R&D phase of K4 is complete, what is however going on now is the R&D phase of K5. The thing is user trials of K4 system is still going on. There have been confirmation from sources that K4 has been fired off of Arihant for a couple of...

Does India have MIRV (missiles)? If they are in making, then what is the status?

Hi shaheen! I like your optimism. But think deep, I'm sure you know the answer despite your rhetoric. I'm sure an educated person like yourself knows the reality. As for the nuclear delivery platform there are a few more that you have not listed above for instance - K-4,K-5,Nirbhay and lastly...

The curious case of Nasr's terminal guidance

Hi, Gyros are known to have inherent drift as accelerometers have inherent spikyness(over sensitive). Most phones have MEMS based gyros. MEMS based gyros (rate gyro or the rate integrating gyro) have compact footprint however they too are prone to certain finite drifts (measured in degrees per...

    Pakistani ICBM

Hi @The Deterrent There's no doubt that current lot of Pakistani missiles can do their job. Of course even a scud would do the job. I'm not claiming that Pakistani missiles can't do their job. My main concern was those related to optimisation. Pakistani missiles are centered around SpaB-140B...

    Pakistani ICBM

Hi @The Deterrent As a research student in Aerospace Engineering, I must admit, your points are spot on and you have clearly demonstrated why it is not possible to create an ICBM out of SLVs anymore--especially in this age of satellites orbiting all the time. I might disagree with you on a host...

    IAF reject tejas...Again..

Hi @randomradio This place has been reduced to a troll fest thanks to no standards whatsoever. You see, I dont mind criticism provided it is deeply rooted in "real facts" and the person criticizing has done his/her homework properly. What happens here is that members do a hit job and post one...

    IAF reject tejas...Again..

Your assessment couldn't be further off mark. As I said, Unlike you I don't base my arguments on news paper reports. I interact with people who are concerned. You may give more credence to reports emanating from media, without even going into the details. As i said, what you believe is...

    IAF reject tejas...Again..

Hi @ziaulislam I can understand your sentiments. It is perfectly right to vocalize your sentiments, however what is WRONG is not doing your homework properly. Had you actually cared to go through elaborate reports, you wouldnt have fallen for the bait. In the detailed report it is clearly...

    L&T's FICV Concept

Hi @Nilgiri My point was pretty simple and that if we did not have the kind of private giants we have, then the situation would be something else. However we repeatedly failing to fully leverage the capabilities of our private sector is the main concern here.

    L&T's FICV Concept

It seems bureaucracy is the biggest enemy of Indian state! India somehow mysteriously fails to leverage a vibrant private sector in projects such as these. India has giants like TATA, Mahindra, L&T, AL, Bharat Forge to name a few that can very well design full fledged armored vehicles. However...

Game-Changing Chinese Missile To Pak Could Dent Navy's BrahMos Advantage

This ship is really impressive. Thanks for bringing it to notice. I wish to point out that India is also beginning to construct 5 ships of 27000t tonnage as replenishment tankers. They will add to the existing 4 tankers in service with IN. However I must confess 901 is a truly impressive ship...

Game-Changing Chinese Missile To Pak Could Dent Navy's BrahMos Advantage

Hi @waz There is no doubt that China has number advantages and they are moving up the quality ladder slowly. However I wish to point out that Indian navy operates 4 replenishment ships as of now and they are- 1) Jyoti Class -1 Vessel 2) Deepak Class- 2 vessels 3) Aditya Class-1 Vessel. Besides...

Same to you my dear friend, same to you! Lets agree to disagree and keep it purely technical without digressing into politics. Having varied political opinion is what makes a democracy. You have as much right to express your views as much as I do. Have a nice day to you too. PS- Just because I...
