Hi @django
Do you even understand what "off topic" mean? Or do you want me to write elaborately here itself? As I said ,either open a new thread about research and development in India and Pakistan or come to relevant thread. Do some justice to the topic of this thread.
I'd...
You're right actually. In fact after AEWCS, DRDO's goal is miniaturization of AESA radars. They're working to reduce substrate size to nano levels. This seems too ambitious at the moment given India's lack of fabs, but even at present micro level has been achieved inside the country.
Cruise...
Hi @saumyasupratik
I guess there's some error in the print of the magazine. This quad packed helina looks way similar to quad packed lahat. I dont think it is quad packed helina. It will be too heavy i guess.
Dude, learn to have some patience and I did not say tech focus. I said their annual report-anyways here is the link
http://www.drdo.gov.in/drdo/pdf1/CTB2015.pdf
Go to the missile section
Some more pics from the annual report-
This picture shows the DRDO designed MPR in scaled down configuration. The good thing about DRDO designed MPR is itz scalability and the fact that it is 4D i.e means it can show
(a)Range
(b)Bearing
(c)Height and
(d)Velocity
It also features a fully digital...
Quad-Packed HELINA ATGM for LCH. This photograph has been taken from DRDO's annual report. Plans are definitely in place to have HELINA in quad pack configuration on board LCH. So,all in all,LCH can field 8 HELINA ATGMs along with 4 Mistral A2A missile. This combination makes it super deadly...
Hi @django
I think we are way off topic. In case you wish to discuss military/space related research and development in India or Pakistan,I would strongly urge you to open a thread or move to a relevant thread. Believe me,I can answer all of your queries with of course proper...
Hi @django
yeah sure--as I said, everyone has right to hold their opinion. But that cant be passed on as facts, right? You sure seem to neither understand the trivial difference between the two projects nor do I have time to explain elaborately as to how they differ. But i will...
I do not even know who exposed babur-3 tests. Anyways I guess folks have right to hold their opinion and even express it--provided they are capable of furnishing verifiable scientific proof in support of their arguments. This guy(in whose pic you tagged me) might sure be a joke. But instead of...
Hi @django
I certainly do not reply to threads like these but since you have tagged me here,I would like to point out that kindly refrain from tagging me in posts that do not relate to science in general or aerospace engineering/control engineering. I sincerely hope you'd comply!
And I do not...
Hi @randomradio
My friend at DRDL also told me that it requires hardware modifications as well. But of course a software modification would be required as well.
It has got 736T/R modules as of now.But I guess the size of the aperture can be increased to accommodate more such planks. In fact it can very easily touch 1000-1200T/R modules(just like chinese AESA)
That is wrong,Indian labs faced a stiff embargo in the aftermath of nuclear explosions of '98! In fact to this day BARC is shunned by american companies.
There are a lot of stories as to how americans denied India a host of technologies. In fact entire indian labs set up in US(which were...
As revealed by Prasun Dasgupta(trishul blog)
This is quite interesting! A highly mobile medium range SAM version of Astra mk-1. Also it will have LRDE designed AESA fire control radar. Very interesting development indeed!
I was refering to missiles that never leave atmosphere --or scramjet engines!
Even if lets say we want to design a HGV,there are plethora of challenges associated with designing controls. For instance the air data acquired from a hypersonic flight is not very reliable. And obviously unlike RVs...
@Srinivas
Oh my dear, really?Care to explain me your qualifications then?Projects you worked on?College you went to?I am anxiously waiting!
My main point is-- Theoretically we can perhaps intercept in Boost Phase,However in practical scenario we would need interceptor with much...
