The UK has far less forex reserve than Bangladesh

Dumbest comment ever... UK has its own oil and Gas. Yuan is not a hard currency, it fine to be a chinese nationalist but you make yourself in to a laughing stock with silly comments like this. GBP remains a global reserve currency alongside USD and Euro. UK is going through a bit a tough...

The UK has far less forex reserve than Bangladesh

There is only one country who does not need a reserve because its currency is the currency of international trade... that is USA and Dollar. The Fed can just print money without raising domestic inflation. The next tier is UK and Japan whose currencies are also used for international trade and...

so we borrow from India to buy from india and pay an interest on the loan to save on reserves. I fail to see the benefit. What moron came up with this idiocy? continue with the ACU facility and reduce imports. Turn it around, offer Indians a Taka loan instead so they accept taka as a...

RNPP loan payback: Russia wants BD to pay in ruble

The answer should be a polite but firm no. They can take goods or services from BD if they wish and BD can agree to barter or a currency swap. but to pay in rubel…..no one has rubel reserves, with sanctions the conversion is going to be iffy and at high rates…. The contract says pay in dollar...

Exports to India hits record high

The fact that they are. If robotics were the answer Europe could do it and cut out the chinese at a stroke. Also westerners are diversifying their sources of goods away from china and here BD presents a compelling destination. Why not concentrate on your own country and leave the BDs to their...

Exports to India hits record high

Simple... chinese wages are increasing and they are seeking to go up the value chain and it is no longer profitable to manufacture there. China has two options, allow closure of factories and import or move the factories abroad and continue business. This happens all the time.... these...

    Bangladesh Air Force

Gripen... absolute nonsense... its a failed system that is a decade and a half without an international sale. EFT gives BAF operational freedom against both India and the moghs. GB in any conflict between India and BD (extremely remote) will seek to defuse tension and will not automatically...

Can the Bangladesh economy afford trade in local currencies?

No you are not getting the basic point. Yuan is neither a free floating currency nor is the flow of yuan unrestricted. Dollar is, thats why you have huge quantities of dollar around the world. Fed does not enforce currency control to enable easy convertibility just like other hard currencies...
