Never seen AAMs mounted on the belly hard points. That said blue rounds are simulator rounds, but even then FOV for something like PL-10 will be blocked pretty substantially by an arrangement like this.

What worked against Western air defense works even better against legacy Soviet air defence.
When did the LAC become flat desert land?
Since this photo fooled so many Indians, it means that they can’t tell Libyans apart from Indians. If that is indeed the case how is it possible that they are so sure that the esteemed individual in my profile photo is a Nigerian or Bangladeshi actor?
As per a brochure by AVIC J-10C with existing power source is capable of pseudo-supercruise, which I take to be maintaining supersonic speed with military thrust after it has gone supersonic with after burner. However, there is scant detail on whether this can be achieved with external load.
You bring up a good point. The UK government would know the flight envelope of AIM-120 and the US will sell them jammers/self protection suite that could defeat the missile.
Thanks for the information. Looks I was ignorant. But my old point still stands to an extent. I don’t think that Argentina would get the greatest and latest BVR from the F-16 deal. Britain will not allow it.
Entirely possible. If they want any decent BVR abilities though they have to go with Block III. Tejas will have Astra, but I am not sure it could be deployed as quickly and in sufficient numbers. Mig-35 is saddled with R-77 and there is no way the F-16 will come with anything more sophisticated...
I have a feeling that Argentina didn't opt for top of the line AA missiles. It is possible that they went for PL-5E/PL-12 combo instead of PL-10E/PL-15E. Otherwise why keep the details ambiguous instead of saying that they got top of the line AA missiles as part of the deal?
