Pakistan has not managed to produce someone like IK ever before and I doubt ever will for a very long time. If he was in a 1st world country he would already have won a nobel peace prize. The difference in calibre between him and the rest of the politicians is ridiculous. First time in my life...

It took a high profile person like IK to be able to gather enough of the public. I don't think there is a bigger character than him in Pakistan. He is the only opportunity there is to correct course. Any other leader would either be sidelined/killed or would have to bend the knee to the Sharifs...

Unless the people get a moral conscience, nothing will happen. The educated classes cannot coexist with jahils. It would be better to move somewhere safer. That's what the Sharifs and Zardaris want, they want to chase away all the educated middle/upper class folk so they can be left to rule over...

Pakistan is run by gangsters. No wonder it's had a 50 year brain drain. No rational person would live in a place with no law and order and justice. No wonder there has been 20+ years of terrorism. It's a basket case.

Why are the army unwilling to back IK? I don't understand. He has the biggest political party in the country and well respected abroad. In his tenure the army were lauded especially how they worked together after balakot strikes. It would be win win. Why have they totally turned against him?

Sharifs and Zardaris have destroyed the army. This level of nepotism will eat into the professionalism and give it another 10 years it will become as dysfunctional as the politicians. Sharifs and Zardaris are the worst thing that has happened to Pakistan.

All this just to target the country's largest political party? The very definition of a banana state.

Islamist is another word for extremist and extremists are of poor character who would get involved with crimimal or violent acts. I am glad they printed that article with this wording, first western outlet to go against PDM.

I am going to wait until IK can come back to power. It's sad really, I haven't been back for 23 years. I really wanted to visit and do some sightseeing. If I went I would have to do a raymond davis if it the situation gets tense and make a run for the British embassy :lol:

The army has a moral obligation to protect Pakistan's women. Women and children should be off limits.
