I agree that the liberal sections need to study our own religion first before harping on whatever the west says. On re-education and re-introduction, I think capital punishment are only allowed in Islam in just 7-8 types of crimes. Can't recall them now but I will search for them in a while...

To critique them you gotta understand them. A section of the society believes that the criminals need to be re-educated instead of culled. This belief is somewhat true is some crimes, say stealing, fraud etc. But these guys tend to forget that the biggest fear in this world is fear of ones own...

If its true, a very unfortunate incident and I hope the groom is punished. The incident should be properly investigated and if it turns out to be false then this doctor should also be taken to task and punished/ reprimanded/fined accordingly for spreading false info.
