Apparently, It happens in West Bengal as well every afternoon. My brother lived in Durgapur for a few years and would tell us how all the shops would close at around 1300hrs and reopen at 1700hrs, as owners went home for a lunch an a nap. Im not sure if its prevalent in cities like Kolkata.
