    Notify PAF Aircraft Crashes

It did look like a maneuver, what else does it look like to you? The video shows him completing a turn and then ascending to perform a loop. Upon coming down, the aircraft did not recover sufficiently and crashed.

    Notify PAF Aircraft Crashes

Dumb of you to place the blame squarely on the chief's shoulders. 23rd March parade and flypast is a long established Pakistani tradition and is dictated more by political considerations than by the whims of the air chief. Furthermore, looking at stats may have caused the authorities to not err...

    Notify PAF Aircraft Crashes

Exactly, it is perfectly all right to respectfully debate how it could have happened but second-guessing the pilot's state of mind (considering his fine professional caliber) is a cuntish move. We must take great care to be descriptive rather than prescriptive. As for the Indians, let them bark...

    Notify PAF Aircraft Crashes

Could be hubris post 27th Feb, could be insufficient preparation, could be a malfunction, could be a case of GLOC, and so on, and so forth. The hows and whys will be revealed after the investigation. For now, while it is entirely acceptable to respectfully debate how something like this...

    Notify PAF Aircraft Crashes

All lessons in fighter aviation have been written in blood. That is an inescapable fact. The lesson could be specific to one community or one learned by all aviators, but it is written in blood. And I am confident the PAF will try to learn from this tragic loss.

    Notify PAF Aircraft Crashes

I doubt the pilot had much time. Depending on speed, a jet can go from 400 feet to the ground in about 3 seconds. It is highly likely that the pilot had little time to diagnose the problem and react to it. I'm only speculating and I await the results of the investigation.

Pakistan Day 2020 l PAF rehearsals

Please be respectful in situations like these. There will be plenty of time for armchair fighter pilots and aviation "experts" on this page to describe what the pilot could have done better, and you are more than welcome to participate. For now, however, please be civil and pray for the pilot.

    Notify PAF Aircraft Crashes

Could also be a stall due to malfunctioning equipment, or some bird strike, or a collision with some other obstruction not seen in the video. All we can do now is wait for an inquiry. I hope the news of the pilot's shahadat is disproved but the chances of that happening look very small now...

    Notify PAF Aircraft Crashes

The evidence we have so far points to the opposite. No ejection was seen but the two videos posted were taken from quite a distance so I sincerely hope the pilot was able to punch out in time. Thus far, we have no confirmation on the pilot's status, so do keep him in your prayers but try not to...

    Notify PAF Aircraft Crashes

All we have is speculation at this point. Still waiting on confirmation from the proper channels. From a purely visual perspective, the plane looked like it was skimming treetops as seen in the two previously posted videos. So far, no ejection has been seen and I honestly can't blame the pilot...

PAL-V looking at India to set up flying cars assembly line for Asia

No hate from my side but can you imagine flying cars anywhere in the subcontinent? If they don't get tangled on power lines, they'll either be dragging along underwear hung to dry outside or hitting crows left, right and centre. And the traffic conditions wouldn't change either: imagine having...

JF-17 vs Rafale: Why Pakistani JF-17 Thunder Poses A Serious Threat To Indian Rafale Fighter Jets?

You are correct with regards to JF-17 being (relatively) under-powered, but assuming that the future of aerial skirmishes in the Subcontinent lies entirely in the BVR domain, I don't see how that variable can't be offset by other variables such as swarm tactics, diversions, and radar jamming...

Pak Army Keeping Indians Warm on LOC !

The escalation ladder needs to be maintained for a reason. Any attempts by us to occupy territory would break the current status quo and put the onus on India to retaliate in a similar manner. If India uses heavy artillery, we use heavy artillery; if India uses jets and crosses the border, we...

    Body armor Plate Carriers 101

Very informative. Have you had a chance to try out some of the higher end plate carriers and chest rigs like London Bridge Trading?

Not much has changed for IAF a year after it was outgunned by Pakistan

Just because he is making a logical assumption based on India's experiences against Pakistan, it does not mean he is a supporter of "injuns." Grow up.

What Abhinindon told to his seniors...?

The truth is that you guys didn't shoot down shit, other than a MI-17.

What Abhinindon told to his seniors...?

How did this journalist "source" of yours know this, then? Was he present in the room with Abhinandan and his superiors?

What Abhinindon told to his seniors...?

Please give us your source for this alleged encounter between Abhinandan and his superiors. I believe that India had no way of shooting down a F16 but don't make up dialogues that may not have happened. Is this what passes for evidence in PDF?

Not much has changed for IAF a year after it was outgunned by Pakistan

Of course, they did refer to 'panicked PAF pilots' who broke military codespeak for Punjabi upon hearing of the arrival of Mig 21s. Can't expect an Indian to be fully appreciative of the facts.
