    Spot-fixing/Match-fixing scandal

Doesn't really matter. This is not conclusive proof in this case. Nonsense. It has been repeated time and again that the PCB is too insignificant for the BCCI to be bothered about, let alone the Indian government or 'RAW'. Now unless you have been blatantly oblivious to cricket affairs of the...

V Sehwag world’s best opener: Matthew Hayden

To compare him to Tendulkar is sort of unfair on both of them. Sehwag may have modeled his batting on Tendulkar's , but his brain does not work the same way. Tendulkar is an amazingly consistent batsman, has an impeccable technique, does the basics right, and has a school-boyish hunger for...

    Discrimination in aid

The part in red is so true of India as well. Although our government did the right thing by making caste discrimination illegal, the effect has been confined to the cities alone. Discrimination and misuse of caste equations is rampant in interior towns and villages. The same societal problem...

The Lord’s episode another RAW ploy

What? Can you at least do a quick fact-check before posting your analysis? Asif has been playing for quite a few years now, and his record against India has been pretty normal. Amir is in great form right now, but if ever we play with each other, it will be in India (or Pakistan) and we know...

Severn hurt in firing during procession in Karachi - Suicide Bomber Blows himself up!

Calm down Mogambo. You said the same thing in another thread. This is extremists targeting a certain sect. It is not reported as a government sanctioned act. The govt's job is to keep its people safe from any attack. It does matter if the majority attacked the minority or vice-versa. It only...

The Lord’s episode another RAW ploy

The PCB is too inconsequential for the BCCI (and less so the Indian govt/RAW) to be bothered about. On the contrary, the BCCI needs to keep the PCB alive for its vote with the Asian bloc. That is also the sole reason for pushing through to have Bangladesh achieve test status.

    Spot-fixing/Match-fixing scandal

Not just that, the accused are people of Pakistani origin. Apparently the whole of India is culpable because Majeed married an Indian (okay?)...and his sister married an Indian (???)...awesomeness has no limits!

    Spot-fixing/Match-fixing scandal

Moral of the story: Indians need to watch out before making rishtas with people of certain nations. Sania Mirza...hint, hint...wink, wink. All said, if what Asim is saying is true, and the article appears on a neutral source, some serious apologies are due from the fans, media and administrators.

    Spot-fixing/Match-fixing scandal

If anything is proven conclusively, I want to see these 3 (and anyone guilty) to be kicked out of the national team. I am not sure of life bans, but am certainly against the death penalty (most ridiculous suggestion ever heard!) Looking at the part in bold, I am quite disturbed that people are...

    Spot-fixing/Match-fixing scandal

    Spot-fixing/Match-fixing scandal

The majority of the bookies are allegedly in India. But they are not part of the system. To control them would mean to arrest them and put them behind bars (since bookmaking is illegal in India). This is unlike cricketers who can be easily controlled by punishing the dishonest ones. If the...

    Spot-fixing/Match-fixing scandal

Why are people hell bent on delivering verdicts? At least understand the facts before judging the case (assuming you have the capacity for logical conclusions). The video evidence is not conclusive, and will be trashed by the defense lawyers in a second. It is possible for computer forensic...

V Sehwag world’s best opener: Matthew Hayden

Zaki, I think they are referring to a single player. Given his records so far, he is probably the best opener in the history of the game.

Wanted: Muslim, Dead or Alive !

Happens both ways. The blatant anti-Western sentiment is more prevalent in the "Muslim" world's media. What facts have you presented, apart from ranting and personal attacks? And if you are a genuine "westerner", do you support your troops against the Afghan Taliban?

Wanted: Muslim, Dead or Alive !

Thanks! I knew you would say this. So if the US is supporting Israel, and the "Muslims" support Palestine, then that becomes two sides of the war right? So you are justified in calling the "West" evil, call everything the sinister plot of the Americans, generalize the behavior of all Americans...
