Thats more than enough. Agosta is said be built in Pakistan under TOT, but its also assembly of major imported parts from France and some parts manufactured locally.
BTW as far as i know, PAkistan do manufactures some parts of Mirage engine, bcoz they are not available elsewhere.
They still remembered that!
Thats why they cut the F-16 order to accommodate for J-10's.
I think French engine deal with TOT would be a better option. As ACM said that he is not satisfied with the performance of these Russian engines.
In recent interview,PAF Chief admitted that IAF is having BVR advantage over PAF for last two decades.
Hopefully after the inducion of JF-17 and upgradation of F-16's, things will be much much better.
RD33K, is i think engine of Mig-35.
So getting this latest version from Russia might be very difficult.
As mentioned earlier, the reason for western Engine swtich is that, life span of Russian engine is 1/4th of western engine.
SNECMA will be most suitable option, as PAF has three decades experience of using and servicing them.
Some modified version of SNECMA engine used in Mirage 2000 will be the best option.
can u give any solid proof.
Tell me why PAF always says that it Lacks BVR capability???
Check kargil incident on Wikipedia, it states that PAF F-16 doesn't have BVR capability that time !
Fully Agreed!!!
There is no point is equipping Jf-17 with AESA.
All PAF needs to do is add two additional hardpoints and reduce the weight of Aircraft. Thats IT!
JF-17 with French RC-400 radar along with MICA missiles will more than fulfills its objective.
For AESA radars, it would...
Look AIM-7 is BVR missile.
And PAF chief's repeatidly said that induction of JF-17 and F-16 Blk 52+ will give Pakistani AirForce the ability of BVR.
When in late 90's our Mirages got upgraded fom Sagem, lot of people saying that these planes have ability of firing BVR missiles , but we...
RC-400 is not an AESA radar.
Its a medium range radar originated from RDY radar of Mirage 2000-5 with comparitively smaller in size.
Target market = Earlier F-16 models, Mig-29,Mirage F1 , JF-17.
Why not Carbon Fibre???
Carbon Fibre is 3 times lighter than steel and more than 2 times stronger.
carbon Fibre can be used in areas like Tail, Cockpit and outer layer of Aircraft to reduce the weight of aircraft significantly.
U talking about AESA radar, Is there any option available...
