    Pakistan: "Nightmare on the subcontinent"

To be honest I think the sub-continent should have been broken up into far more states upon independence from the British. Both India and Pakistan. There could be a dozen states easily in the sub-continent.

US must convince India to move troops from LoC

You're making the erroneous assumption that Pakistan considers the Taliban of greater self-interest than the Kashmir/India issue. The US self-interest is the Taliban and they hold influence over India. I'm sure India would not like to see the Taliban succeed either as it will eventually reach...

    Indo-Israeli Defense Deals Draw Flak

Bribery and corruption are nothing new, especially in the defence industry. In the West we call it the defence procurement process and while the means through which it occurs is different, the ends are still the same. It's the same corruption everywhere.

27 Tamils arrested for trying to burn the Indian national flag

I trust you feel the same way about Palestinian and Kashmiri insurgents?

Orissa girl sacrificed for good harvest

I think it's quite clear that both Pakistan and India are still developing and parts of each country are extremely poor without much in the way of education/services. These things will happen. Afterall, we in the "enlightened" West burned witches, thought Trial by Ordeal or Trial by Combat...

    Su-30MKI & JF-17 Air Fight

4th gen, 4.5 gen, etc are in fact just terms. The point of classifying that is to give a general summary of its capabilities, particularly for laymen who don't follow the field with as much interest. Generally it's an indication of its overall combat capability, not some very specific narrow...

    News on Pakistan's F16 Block/50 or 52

That may be true in flight parameters, but definitely not avionics. The Chinese are still a good decade behind (at least, probably more) on powerplant and avionics technology.

A Light Sabre for the Third World: The FC-1 / JF-17

1500 seems rather optimistic. Most Mig-21 or derivative operators paid a fraction of the cost of the JF-17 (even adjusting for inflation) per unit. Assuming they do choose to upgrade to the JF-17 from the Mig-21, they will maintain fewer units.

Predator C flies for the first time

this thing is awesome - it can carry 500lb JDAMs in the internal weapons bay.

    ENOUGH!

It's only a violation of Pakistan's sovereignty if Pakistan does not agree to those forces operating there. I don't know the exact reason the Pakistan army pulled out of Swat, but it's quite clear that the army was having some real difficulties up there. The question is which do you want...

    ENOUGH!

That pretty much sums up every decision and problem in politics since the start of organized government. You can't win. You can only "lose less".

    India's little known super-weapon "KALI".

Don't kid yourself, this is not a new concept. It has been around a long time. It's just never been deployed operationally because miniaturizing it onto a usable weapons platform has proven to be difficult with current technology. We would not view a bulky, 26t system with vulnerable oil...

Should pakistan kick out the foreign media ?

with great power (nukes) comes great responsibility - a responsibility that pakistan is either unable or unwilling to manage at the moment. until that changes, you can pretty much expect everyone to stick their noses in your business.

    Pakistan F-16 Discussions 2

lol. you have that totally backwards. DRFM does not "blind" enemy radar - that's the point of noise jamming. You can not effectively use current DRFM technology in the escort or stand off jamming roles. And if you think you're going to fire a missile at a stand off jammer then you probably...

    Pakistan F-16 Discussions 2

DRFM is a superb jamming technique as it does not rely on brute power to get the job done, but if I had to choose between DRFM or traditional noise jamming I'd choose the latter. DRFM can not mask your intentions, it can only make it harder to kill you. A powerful standoff jammer like the...

    F-35 EOSDAS

Yeah saw that. Nothing crucial was compromised as crucial data is not available on servers connected/exposed to the outside world. Just another embarassment in the long line of embarassments for the JSF. The US Government Accounting Office put the smack down on Lockheed Martin over the BAMS...

    Gone the days of TVC?

Did not imply that. We're talking post-merge scenarios here, with the JSF flying straight and egressing after the merge. Which means as soon as the opposing plane turns 90 degreess (and assuming 90 degree off boresight) he has a shot at the JSF's rear.

SU 35,37 Multi Role Fighter jets

such a shame. the rafale is a great little fighter, but its failure in the MMRCA and the probable cuts by the French AF spell its doom. although the reality is there are way too many figher manufacturers out there right now. it was all good when you could buy an air plane for a few million...

    Pakistan F-16 Discussions 2

AESA would be nice for the PAF but it is probably an un-necessary expense at the moment given its probable opposition. You could get by with a quality PESA radar, no problem. Or even a qualty MSA radar.

    Gone the days of TVC?

Lol. The big, bad Su-35 wipes out the Eurofighter Typhoon easily, which is then destroyed by the JSF without it breaking a sweat. yeah if that's not unprofessional marketing i don't know what is. Here's the problem with that scenario - no sane JSF pilot is going to ever attempt that. Flying...
