For Saudis, U.S. arms deal is a challenge

Anyone know why exactly the Saudis are arming themselves so heavily? Iran wouldn't be able to do much before the US intervenes, and I doubt Israel has the manpower or will to invade Saudi Arabia.

Scrap the MMRCA, buy US F-35s

F-35? You mean the (sure somewhat better) American version of the PAK-FA? It's not like the US is going to be arming Pakistan with something like the F-35 that would want India to jump on that bandwagon.

At least one side's following the ceasefire agreement... Just like with Korea, unless either Pakistan or India completely invade/dismantle the opposite, then this situation's never going to end. Neither side wants to risk anything, so it's a stalemate

I'm glad BD is secular again, I've learned that secularism is an important factor in a country's ability to prosper people-to-people wise. Perhaps in 2050, BD may finally accomplish that Switzerland of the East dream  Though as much as our Bangladeshi/Pakistani/Chinese members may...

India offers small, mid-sized n-reactors for sale

I think this is a pretty big double edged sword for India. The fact that companies will be liable for any 'errors', scares companies from wanting to invest, but the act boosts public confidence and well... holds corporations responsible. India can pretty much defend itself from China and...

India Must Master the Great Game: WSJ

It's sad actually. India and China were originally the two greatest ancient civilizations to date. Together, they could've held a economic, military, and more importantly, cultural hegemony over the world
