Heights of stupidity if it is true.
I rather say HAL/ADA do it this way...
1) Make a proper Naval LCA MK2
2) Modify it for airforce version by redesigning undercarriage.
3) Invest the Airforce LCA money into making the AMCA.
This idea of stealth LCA and all others are just wasting time.
It is a good project to learn how to do stuff...AMCA must start as a naval project and proceed for airforce. LCA is too small and short legged. The Navy needs a medium sized aircraft with a decent range and payload capacity to perform SEAD and DPS missions and at the same time to take care of...
Never heard of a turbofan that emit pulses of thrusts at regular intervals. That will lead to a lot of loss of power starting the engine again and again. Rocket motors usually use it for conservation of fuel. That happened because of turbulent air intakes or poor fuel mix.
I would say that the Challenger 2 is the best western tank right now. The T 14 Armata is a generation ahead. Yet to see wether it is going to be a darn good tank or just a balloon filled with hot air.
Without proper investment in engine research all this is hogwash. There is no seriousness in it. Still tinkering around with the Kaveri engine with Kabini core is stupid. Dump it and start research on a new engine that actually works.
Always...Thats how the allies defeated the Nazis. Quantity has its own quality. You can out flank and out manuver your opponent if you have superior numbers.
You cant win a war with sheilds. And that is the mistake Pakistan is making. A battle is a part of war. I can also quote Longewala but...
The new boilers were manufactured in 2004–2005 at the Baltic Shipyard in St Petersburg, along with one extra boiler. The ninth spare boiler, which was produced first, was left in the Special Design Office (also in St Petersburg) for tests. The records show that it met all the power requirements...
But much better than your floating casino armed with underpowered aircrafts and second rate arrestor wires which cant stop you aircrafts when landing even with almost empty tanks and pay loads. Poor boiler designs using bricks that failed rigorous tests in Vikramaditya.
I still think the concept of AMCA is very wrong.....We already have too many twin engine aircrafts...we need a proper single engine multirole aircraft. Yeah...the twin engine has more survivability but cost wise and maintenance wise the single engine is a better choice.
