For su-30 16fc per sqd becouse in this we dnt need dual seat trainer and for rest 16+2 for one sqd. but remember Ist 40 lca is not war fighter it use for training purpose.

I think you are right coze our main front line fighter is Su-30mki which is much cheaper then EF and more advance and i think price defer ratio is 2:1.In the same price may be we got F-35 which is more advance and true multirole 5 generations fighter then EF.

The upgraded Jaguars, MiG27, Mirage2k and MiG 29 will serve till 2015-2020 they will start retiring though. May be in the case of jaguars but if they goes for DRAIN - III upgradation (with new engine (f-125IN), mission computer etc at like Mig-27 they have chance to fly next 10-15yr more...
