LTTE defeat is not good for the region

We all know that you "cared" about the Sikh Holy temple only because it meant that it would cause needless rampage & riots in India later on. But when it happenned to the Red Mosque most sane pakistanis supported Pak Army's similar move to flush out terrorists. I'm not a Hindu, so don't try to...

    The 1965 Indo-Pak war

"Nearly there" "Close to victory" doesn't mean anything. It's either a win or nothing. Pakistan set out to liberate kashmir and to say that we came "close to victory" means a defeat of the political ambition to "liberate" kashmir. btw, Though the numbers were surely in India's favour...

pakistan lose to england! what next

I didn't like the attitude of the pak captain after losing. He was still laughing and saying he didn't care for T20 as it's only entertainment. As if we watch test cricket as a chore. pfft.

    World Naval Ranking 2008

I think Pakistan is not exactly a developed country either. Nor are the poverty levels significantly lower than India's.

    The 1965 Indo-Pak war

I think that's more balanced. The war was another stalemate like the first kashmir war, where 3/5th of land was captured by India and the rest by pakistan and that's it. If only someone, either India or Pakistan had the brains or the balls to win it outright, we'd not have been wasting our time...

Do you think that the British decided to create a permanent mess in the subcontinent?

When the British left S. Asia they had left the region in a state of choas, especially the countries of India & pakistan who were left to fight like dogs over everything from kashmir to gujrat to hyderabad. Even the boundary lines with China/Tibet was not properly done & there is historical...

Pakistan becomes the 20th most attractive outsourcing destination

India is miles ahead on this one count atleast, thanks mainly to the British Raj. Else we'd still be struggling. Not that we've stopped struggling, but atleast some sections of the society are finding jobs.

    Pakistani billionaires... anyone knows

Same here in india. so called poor people in india aren't really poor. the recent real estate boom has many many people lakhpathis, if not crorepathis. That is the only place where is saw visible poverty being removed in my lifetime in India, however artificial and limited it was.

    Pakistani billionaires... anyone knows

I think the list of billionares is mainly made up of expats and politicians, which isn't exactly great. And many of them are barely billionaires, with some actually less than a billion. Even 999 million still makes them a multi millionaire, not billionaires. Maybe on that count, I think India...

    Nuclear assets-an evil or boon

Your mentality clearly indicates that you are willing to keep crossing the LOC in violation of both the Shimla treaty & UN rules on the same, yet you expect that India should not cross the border at all, even when threatened, like in '65, claiming international sanctity. Ho. Another double...

    Nuclear assets-an evil or boon

So you think you'll just keep on crossing the ceasefire line/LOC without thought of any retaliation? it's like u just want India to cross the international border, so u'll indulge in provocation. btw, i siad defacto border, LOC is now a defacto border between the 2 nations whether pak likes it...

    Pakistani billionaires... anyone knows

In India despite all the poverty on one side, at the other end of the spectrum, there are also who are extremely wealthy and these days u can't pick up a paper without one billionaire or other in the news; this despite a downturn in economy. But it also prompted me that I have hardly, if ever...

WB okays $900m for Pakistan’s education sector

Let's just hope that Pakistan puts it to proper use. In India they've started collecting a so called education cess on top of the taxes and I don't think I see any real benefits at large.

    Nuclear assets-an evil or boon

India needs nukes cuz China has them. China needs them cuz USSR (now Russia) have them. And they need them cuz USA have them. So it's a nuke food chain. I think the pandora's box is out. Everyone can keep their nukes. Atleast it produces any conventional wars from breaking out. No. I think...

How Pakistan secures its nuclear weapons

BJP's statements were just political stunts; in fact when they came to power they didn't do anything of their rhetorical right wing statements they had promised - which is generally good - but they also indulged in unnecessary gujrat riots & failed to bring a common uniform civil code, as well...
