    Type 23 maybe

Last week, the new British Defence Attache met with the Pakistan Navy CNO, they discussed the possible sale of current RN assets to the Pakistan Navy. The UK offer here - two Type 23 'Duke Class' FFGHM. One of NATO's most formidable anti-submarine vessels. But any such capability will...

Isreal 's Merkava 4 instead of Russian T-90

Which one do you think India based it's Tank design on???

Isreal 's Merkava 4 instead of Russian T-90

Neither. There are 3 MBT's in the World. 1. Leopard 2A6 - a compromise between speed, firepower and armour, German-built, it's efficiency is assured. 2. Challenger 2 - Slow. But it will survive all hits and kill anything on the battlefield. 3. M1 Abrams - Fast, heavily armoured and...

Saudis give nod to Israeli raid on Iran

I don't excuse your language - you're of the typical foolish opinion and could not be more wrong.

Saudis give nod to Israeli raid on Iran

The precedent is already set: Saudi allowed the IDAF to cross its territory to attack Osirak in 1981; BBC NEWS | Middle East | Factfile: How Osirak was bombed And lets not forget, it was Saudi money which built Osirak. The Arabs would be more than happy to see the Iranian...

    Talking to the Taliban

darkStar I still believe the only way to end this war is to talk to the Taliban. Correct me if I am wrong, please.

    Talking to the Taliban

Hold on there tiger; I offered him the democratic right to disagree after he disagreed!! Strangely, he has yet to respond... I'm being very British and arrogant. Excuse me. You are correct. With all of the above. Is not talking to the Taliban a viable option?

    Does PAF need (Strategic) Bombers?

Muradk is absolutely correct. 'Big bombers' are history and given Pakistan's potential threat - totally useless.

    Does PAF need (Strategic) Bombers?

Stealthy and precision accurate UCAV's like Neuron or Terranis are PAF's future. Not lumbering misguided carpet-bombers of yesteryear! H-6?? With a guy looking down a faulty Chinese-made 1960s bombsite???!!! Do you think the Indians are thinking on the same level??? Of course not...

    Talking to the Taliban

You have democratic right to disagree and I am open to any suggestions you may have to remove this threat. But please, don't fabricate - I never said Pakistan produces heroin or harbours Al Qaeda in my statement. Can we agree on that?

    Pakistan Army Small Arms

Us here in the west don't hear a lot about that. Thus my question here on this forum. Any idea on a favourite??

    Talking to the Taliban

Fellow forum members... It doesn't matter how many NATO troops are deployed, or how much money Saudi throws at the problem. The key to peace in Afghanistan, lies in Pakistan. Dare I say - that peace may only be secured by sitting down and talking to Taliban in the NWFP.

Does Pakistan have CH47 and AH64?

I assume you are on about Hellfire. The Cobra's can't carry them. So I assume again that they are being tagged to a fixed-wing option, yes? Dare I speculate a Pakistani UCAV perhaps??

    Pakistan Army Small Arms

I was recently looking at the Jane's Infantry Weapons section regarding Pakistan's Army, it was interesting to note that the PA has not followed the trend of embracing a lighter calibre weapon in the 5.56mm range. All of Pakistan's service rifles: the G-3, Type 56 and AKM are of 7.62mm...

    Does PAF need (Strategic) Bombers?

Agreed. The days of the 'big bomber' are numbered in my opinion. For instance, look at what happened to that Russian Tu-22-3M over Georgia, it didn't stand a chance even against fairly moderate air defences. The USAF's next-generation bomber will have more in common with the F-22 than...

JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 1]

This was touched on earlier, but can someone confirm if the JF-17 will have full datalink capability with Erieye? Link 16 perhaps??

Al-Khalid, Type 98, and T-90 Dominate World Tank Market

Kharian, I would be grateful if you could expand on that. I must admit, since the initial reports little else has been forthcoming regarding Saudi and the Al Khalid. This is why I asked the question here. The RSLF has intensified its efforts to make the M1-A2S its primary MBT, despite...
