They can tally what they see against what their intelligence has been feeding them. both as they can avoid over/under estimating the other's capability & enter a war with more realistic goals. This will be the long term goal unless they end up showing only glass bottomed boats to each other.

Attack helicopters are usually fronters for an advancing armoured/road mobile missile column. So in the usual requirement they should fly low, which because of ground noise makes them as it is very very hard to detect. If they fly high the enemy aircraft can easily knock them out. I don't know...
