Nepal: Surkhet Air Strip for Indian Air Force, Target Tibet

Ok when you mentioned about combat helicopters - i infered it to be in the true military sense of attack helicopters like the Mi-24/Mi-35 types as possessed by the IAF. While the Mi-24/35 is a truly dedicated attack helicopter the Mi-17,M28 Skytruck,ALH Lancer & HAL Dhruv are not. They are...

IAF - Stunning Victories (Israeli air force)

Credible source means an neutral respectable source whose reporting can be taken as close to the original account. Ya the Israelis due to their western ethoes are more forthcoming in their recognition of professional skill and behaviour, than the Arabs have ever been. The Award of...

IAF - Stunning Victories (Israeli air force)

@ Windjammer The scanned pages are ok, but can you provide some credible source. From which magazine or news paper is the posted article taken? The spced up stories of local publications are hardly reliable news in my opinion. Btw - the second article is unredable.

Nepal: Surkhet Air Strip for Indian Air Force, Target Tibet

Thanks for the correction. I had known that the SFF operates out of Bhutan (though i cant validate that with any proof, so had left it out of my statement earlier) but had no idea about the ITBP presence there.

Nepal: Surkhet Air Strip for Indian Air Force, Target Tibet

Where in my post have i suggested that any defence activity by India is anti-China or anti-Pakistan. Dude i have only tried to make startegic sense of what military benifits will we inherit by such a move.

Nepal: Surkhet Air Strip for Indian Air Force, Target Tibet

Firstly, the combat helicopters that the IAF have a service sealing of approximately 12000 feet and most of the terrain in Nepal and Bhutan is above that. Secondly the IAF currently lacks the capacity for such a strategic lift of troops arms and supplies that you seem to suggest. As a minimum...

People of Telangana Region Demanding Seperate State

The western companies running these call centres seem to have no problems with their english (whats the purpose of having a call centre otherwise). Maybe they dont measure up to your english satandards. Where were you educated??? OXFORD or CAMBRIDGE, i suppose!!!!

Nepal: Surkhet Air Strip for Indian Air Force, Target Tibet

Just to clarify - Bhutan has a security pact with India, under this agreement their defence is effectively Indian responsibility. If they are invaded it is India's reponsibility to come to their aid. Though Bhutan has effectively chose to stay under Indian protection the same cant be said of...

precisely my point. articles from wikipedia are not totally accurate. I would suggest using wikipedia as source of counterchecking details and not as a primary source of information.

Nepal: Surkhet Air Strip for Indian Air Force, Target Tibet

Guys i dont think these news reports are accurate. For the follwing reasons: 1. Having air bases in Bhutan & Nepal will not give any additional advantage to the IAF in terms of range or any other capability. On the contrary they will be more of an liability than an asset. 2. The airbases...

    1970s Balochistan Independence Movement

Whats the source of the above article?? Posting the source allows members to diffrentiate between genuine and non-genuine articles. Most articles posted usually have a dubious angle to the news that they are potraying. Posting from credible sources enables a healthy discussion on facts and...

Indian Nuclear Arsenal at risk of taken over by insurgents

And what is very little "Indian" about them?? Dude you are clearly going overboard with the naxal threat. Making mountains out of moles here. The Naxals hide in jungles and only venture out in remote areas - they hardly fit the profile of terrorists who can take control of highly secure...

    In fear of 'Eurabia'?

In fear of 'Eurabia'? The images were clearly intended to get out the vote, and judging by the 57 per cent "yes" vote to ban the construction of minarets in Switzerland on Sunday, they worked all too well. They included the depiction of minarets piercing through the Swiss flag; minarets...

Rare Pics: APJ Abdul Kalam in Indian Navy's Kilo class submarine - 2006

Thanks for the intelligent deduction!! You seem to be some kind of an expert in deducing the quality of subamrines - just by looking at thier pictures. I dont think that anyone else has such a gift not even the most experienced submariners or naval engineers. I was just hoping that your age...

Rare Pics: APJ Abdul Kalam in Indian Navy's Kilo class submarine - 2006

People like Kalam deserve to be president. His presidency reformed the role of the President in the country. Where other presidents preferred to be passive, he was very active. Especially in promoting education.

Pak fabricating evidence on Balochistan: Krishna

Precisely this kind of thinking cost you half your country back in 1971. Who are you to decide, wether he is 50% an Indian or a full Indian?? You chaps in Pakistan might have such terminologies for Baluch and Sindhi people, but we in India dont think on such lines. So please dont apply your...
